(✨) nervous lip biting and quick pacing was the only thing that pheonix could really do at the moment. its been a month or two since she's started class at hopes peak and while she wasn't too fond of it when she first started, it quickly grew on her with the help of her classmates and a certain reserve course student. she was able to make a lot of friends despite her pessimistic thinking telling her otherwise, and she even met up with an old childhood friend too..! everything was... okay. no, everything was good- great, even.
(✨) shes honestly never had this much fun at school before and it was a bit shocking to her. for once in her life, she didn't have an anxieties about school. it felt really nice.... at least until the teacher decided to pull her aside during class.

" th-the class rep? m-me!? "

(✨) the teacher simply nodded with a smile, adding on that her title and talent did help unify the kids a lot in that class. and pheonix wouldn't deny that, but still..... isn't that sort of a big task for someone like her to take on? surely there must be some other student more equipped to do this sort of job, right.. ? but the teachers and other students insisted that she'd do it, so she had no choice but to laugh awkwardly and agree. still she could help the feeling of moths fly around her stomach again, and suddenly all her anxieties came back.
(✨) but no! she wouldn't stand for this!! not after she just got used to being without this feeling!! surely there could be someone to help her right? an upperclassman, maybe?
(✨) she went to her reserve course friend, since he seemed to be acquainted with the other upperclassman in the main course. upon asking he smiled, and referred her to chiaki nanami who was the super high school level gamer. phoenix tilted her head- curious as to how someone like that could get to be the class rep for their class. not that that was bad or anything, it was just... unlikely, in her opinion. but then again, she really doesn't believe in her own talent, so...

(✨) she decided it was best to ask the other for advice after school, so that she wouldn't interrupt her class. and as soon as the school bell rang, she made a v-line for chiaki's classroom. her friend had told her that apparently she was staying behind to help her teacher today, so she had to be there.
(✨) pheonix hurriedly speed walked up the stairs, as chikai's class was the floor above hers, and suddenly the moths started settling in her stomach again. what if chiaki was busy? what if she found her annoying? what if she didn't even wanna help or associate herself with an underclassman like her?????
(✨) shaking her head, she tried her hardest to rid herself of these pessimistic thoughts, and continued up the stairs. though she nearly fell down them when some upperclassman greeted her by surprise, though she immediately recovered and muttered a polite greeting in return. then she looked for the classroom marked 2-B, since apparently that was her class.
(✨) upon finding the class, she gulped, and took a peek inside. from the looks of it, it seemed like the teacher had stepped out for a bit, but she couldn't tell much more than that since the door was only partially open. so, she slid open the door..! perhaps.... a little too forcefully, but only because she was nervous. she blurted out an apology afterwards..

(✨) pheonix glanced inside to see if chiaki was there... and low and behold, she was. though.. she didn't seem to notice her coming in?? all she was focusing on was a hand-held that silently played what sounded like retro videogame music. it was here that pheonix was really lost on what to do- should she interrupt???? should she wait for the teacher to come back????????
(✨) who knows how long that would take though... deciding with an affirmative nod, she approached the desk the other was sitting at with a determined face, and spoke in a quiet but obviously nervous tone. she had no choice....!! this was her only chance........!!!

" u-um...! y-youre chiaki n-nanami, right?? u-uhm... i was- um... w-wondering if i could ask you a few th-things, m-maybe....? "

learn how to love. i'M LAUGHGIN THANK U FOR THIS MUSHY STARTER,, i hope they'll become good friends tbh B^)))( honestly it has been a few months since her new school year started, && she was quite surprised by how well it was going herself. )
( yes of course it didn't went quite well with her class at first, everyone did their own thing && nobody talked about anything to eachother- including chiaki herself. though after befriending a reserve course student named hajime hinata, she came to realize that she had the power to bring her class together. )

(  to say that she was glad was taken to lightly, she was honestly proud of her accomplishment- not to forget that she thanked the reserve course student as well for helping her figure things out. in fact, she && hajime became really close friends with eachother afterwards. they both always decided to meet up by the school's fountain to eat lunch && play videogames together, those were one of the best moments for chiaki. )
( however after those months she was appointed to be the class representative, it had her quite surprised. it wasn't a bad thing but she didn't really quite think that she would've become the class representative, though she did accept with a shy smile && a small bow out of gratefulness. )

( though it did mean that she had less time to play around && meet up with hajime, since she had to attend to meetings && do other stuff that all the class representatives did. )
( like today, she had to stay back in class to help out clean the classroom- which she totally didn't wanted to do. so despite the guilt she felt, she messaged her friend that she couldn't come play or hang out with him. luckily he understood && wished her good luck, making her sigh softly as she began to take a broom && swipe the classroom. )

( after a while of just swiping, it had made chiaki feel bored out of her mind. she continued cleaning a bit more before deciding that it was enough, her teacher was away as well.. so what she did was she sneakily got her game console out of her bag && started it up to play. )
( moments later she was so focussed on her game that she didn't hear anyone enter the classroom, nor hear that person open the door a bit too forceful. she didn't started to pay attention to the stranger until she heard an unfamiliar voice speak up. )

( pausing her game && looking up to see who was looking for her, she notices the younger looking female. tilting her head a bit in curiosity, she wondered what the other female wanted from her. seeing her uniform && her posture, she appeared to be one of the students of the underclassmen. )

" .. yes that's me, what did you wanted to ask me.. ? "
(  she replied softly, her voice && facial expression neutral as she tried to figure out what an underclassman wanted from her. it could possibly that her teacher send her to check if she did her job properly, or something entirely different. well it didn't really mattered anymore, since she would find out within the next moments. )

(✨) her reserve course friend did say she was really nice... although it takes a bit for her to warm up to people. she still couldn't help but to feel a little awkward.. but she had to do this!! for the sake of her class!!!!! so she cleared her throat, and tried to act as relaxed as possible despite looking very stiff.

"ah- well, um, to start off, m-my name is pheonix noel, a-and im a student from Class 79. "
" i was recently given the um, honor(?) of being chosen for the class representative, although i don't really think i uh, deserve it?? "
" a-anyways, if im correct, you're the class rep for Class 77, right?.........."

(✨) phoenix paused, wondering if she should mention that her reserve course friend told her about her being rep?? maybe that would make this whole situation......... less awkward.. so she decided to casually throw him in as she went onto her next point.

" um, ha-hajime told me about you..! he said that.. you might be able to help me with like.. 'repping' stuff.. i guess, hehe. "

(✨) she brought up a hand to scratch at her cheek, shuffling a bit on her feet. was she being forceful???? what if chiaki didn't even wanna be talking to her right now??? she wouldn't blame her, who would want to talk to an underclassman two whole years below you? but since she was a rep now she was going to get to know her one way or another.... but still..

" n-n-not that you have to, or anything....!! i just- figured... since hajime praised you so highly... "

(✨) that was true- when phoenix brought this up to hajime, she swore his eyes lit up as he started telling her about chiaki. he seemed to go on and on about how much they'd spend time together and how she would tell him about she united all the ultimates in Class 77 together. which she supposed is something she shared in common with her, but.. theres no way she could do it the same as chiaki could, especially with the way hajime described her..
(✨) ah, she trailed off into her own pessimistic thoughts again, and it was evident when her expression of nervousness and hope sort of fell to sadness. her gaze fell to the floor and she fiddled with the ends of her jacket.

" since he praised you so highly, i figured maybe you could help someone like me become a great class rep like you... "
" i-in all honesty i don't really think im cut out for being in a leader position like a class rep, im.. not all that great compared to the other ulimates in my class, really.. "

(✨) she sighed. chiaki probably didn't wanna hear her mope and groan about how painfully pessimistic she was but... her friends were the ones who wanted her to be a class rep so gosh darn it she was gonna be the best class rep she could be for them!! and if that meant she had to annoy or pester her into giving her tips so be it!!! she clenched her fists subconsciously, and the sad look in her eyes turned to ones of hope once again.

" but if my friends and ms. yukizome.. want me to be their class rep, then ill do it for them. i wanna be the best class rep i can be for them...! "
" i-... i really don't know the first thing about leading people or, like uniting them, or whatever, but you do and hajime said you do s-so- "

(✨) phoenix finally looked up at chiaki with a determined look on her face, and then bowed as she made her next request. even if she was willing to do anything for her friends, that does not mean she has to go demanding without showing respect to her seniors!!!
