# About me
Hello I am Butch! I love to draw cartoons. Always have since I was about 6 or 7. Charles Schulz was my inspiration for getting into cartooning. Seeing his characters and how Charlie Brown seemed to be left out of things, reminded me a bit of me. I felt like that when I was a kid, but of course, dealt with it and made it through life.I admire quite a few cartoonist that are out there today. Jim Davis (Garfield), Marvin, Rose is Rose and some others. I am a big fan of some of the older comics too. Just the style that existed back in the day was great. Now we live in a Digital world where you can pretty make anything on a computer. I am old school and love to draw by hand and the only time I make anything on my computer is when I want to do something special with my characters. Which you will see soon. But how did I come up with Démon and friends?
Well read below:
I came up with Démon back on Feb16, 1987. He came to me while I was in detention one day, yes I am sure we have all been there at some point in school, and he just progressed from there. I have put him in all kinds of situations. I have had him as a Ghostbuster (one of my favorite movies), as a Vampire in the bar Fangtasia (True Blood), and have just recently given him a family. Also he has a friend named Alex the Angel, because you can't have one without the other.
The one thing you will not see in my drawings is Démon and Alex fighting against each other, maybe doing things to one another in jest, but never fighting. That would be just too cliché.
I hope that you enjoying seeing him and his friends and family in cool, wacky and sometimes serious situations.
