# About me
I've always liked drawing. Most of the time it's just silly little doodles, but sometimes they're actually quite good.I studied Art at A Level for about 4 months when I was 16, but packed it in just because.
When I was a kid, I wanted to go to Art College and be an artist - I used to read the British comics from DC Thomson and Fleetway, and got much of my style from there - Tom Paterson was my hero. Through the eighties and early nineties I read The Dandy, Beano, Beezer, Topper, Nutty, Hoot, Buster, Whizzer & Chips, Whoopee and Oink. My younger brothers and sister arrived in the nineties, so I stopped buying them myself, and read theirs nstead.
Needless to say, most of my comics and toys were destroyed by my siblings, and, since starting to buy The Dandy again when it relaunched in 2010 (until it's sad print 'death' in 2012), and subsequently starting to buy The Beano every week and collect the old comics I collected as a kid (I now have over 600 comics, almost 400 of which are 70s/80s/90s) , I really regret not persuing my hobby as a career.
I joined DeviantArt mainly to showcase my Doctor Who drawings, but having found a load of old drawing pads from my late teens, I decided to show off some of my old stuff, and try and put some of my doodles on display. Enjoy.
