Thanks! I think the traditional american cartooning style lends itself to much more creative and fun character designs than most anime does, so I have a great respect for anyone who's good at character designs. It's much tougher for me to break away from the Japanese style though, just out of habit, so you'll probably notice more creative designs are fewer and further in between for me

That's the exact reason I'm trying to break away from that anime style. I've been able to do it so far in all but my faces. Unfortunately, I can't seem to fit into a face groove. :C

haven't really done anything yet, since I'm starting my first animation courses this coming semester. I was thinking of going traditional, but the job market seems to demand 3D. I'm actually planning on taking an intro class to sequential art sometime this year; making a comic is something I've always wanted to do, but as of now I just lack the skill and creativity. It looks like really fun stuff.
I don't suppose you know of any teachers I should either try to get or avoid, do you?
