My art is going like my life. Slow and steady. I am currently a part Walmart slave/ full-time college student. Somehow I still mangage to have time to snap a few photo shots. I got a new camera (a Pentax K2000) and I have a TON of photos that I haven't posted online yet. Just don't feel like it,(yet).
You know I used to really wonder if I was going to be popular on DeviantArt but now I know that isn't important. What is important is sharing and communicating with other artists, so each can learn from one another. It is kind of sad, some artists spend tons of time into a picture of a sunset or a well depicted character but is over looked by almost everyone. But a naked anime woman is frontpage material.
(not...not there's isn't anything wrong with well depited naked women..) I know I is bad.

it's true though. the purpose of art has changed alot over the years. i see alot of people drawing things for pleasure, not like pornography, but things that obviously are a little more forward than a splatter of ink on paper lol i'm not sure how i feel about it, it's interesting to try and think from another perspective on art, how people use it to their liking.
art is everyone's whore
but yeah i remember a few years ago when my thoughts were focused on being a popular artist. i think i more wanted the talent that came with that fame. i recognized what it took to get that recognition and i was far too uneducated in anatomy and what not to fulfill those standards. but coming to school i see how artists grow off one another to better themselves and it's a rewarding process. it's so nice to be in a community of open-mindedness, i rather do love being an artist

Well said, Blackkunochi. I too use art for my own enjoyment, by which I mean, photography is an very relaxing hobby to follow. I must also entertain the fact that communicating with other artists (though I hardly think I am justified to consider myself an artist) makes the learning process that much enjoyable. I am not as devoted as you to go as far to going to school for understand the concept of art, due to currently pursuing other goals education wise. I can only rely on my own willingness to give time into my photographic skills and the collaboration of strangers of all over the world. I can state, that given this situation, I too love being an artist (at least an unofficial student of it).

its pretty neat. just trying to pace myself and keep positive. man i can't tell you how many things can go awry lol i've had a very patience-trying week lol but i think the worst of it is over.
thats like super long lol i'm looking forward to hitting one year with my guy. i don't really see us breaking up at all in the future... what a daunting thought. lol.
