You know the last time I gave a woman a penguin it was more than a bit unfortunate. But since you are not "she who must not be named" I figured I would go for it. Maybe I should of checked the auguries first, but (sigh), here's me crossing my fingers. I was browsing a gallery of an artist I had recommended to me by a friend and ran onto this. Naturally I thought of you.

Oooooh, those penguins are the most adorable things EVERRRR thank you so so much for sharing, and thinking of me, in spite of your aversion to anything "she who must not be named" -esque! Side note....I'm not sure how you giving a woman a penguin could EVER go badly, that just doesn't seem possible to me! Regardless, you lucked out--I adore the art, so thank you again!

Mischief Managed!
OMG - O__O While I was replying, Pearl Jam's "Black" popped up on my iTunes! That was the anthem of my suicidal depression while ____ was ripping my heart apart piece by piece, repeatedly, like that Promethean eagle (except not the liver). I guess its true that if you speak of the devil (s)he will appear. Freaking eerie; that's what that is! I blame the penguins that she so loved, cursed cuddly harbingers of DOOM. Get thee behind me! LOL

NO NO NO! Not you! At least I think not you. o_O...... Naaaaaa, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. My iTunes has actually been possessed for a while by CrazyOtakuYuuki 's OC devil boi, Damian. He is a bit of a stinker, ever since I threatened him to leave Yuuki alone or I would put on my pointy hat and grab my staff and make him. He didn't want to take on a bullfrog wizard who kin dof specializes in that sort of thing, but he also couldn't resist messing with my itunes player. Yuuki and I had a rather long chat about him and what happened with my player, in case you are interested. It really was super freakly though. OOoooooOOOOOoo
Her is the link to the page. You will have to scroll down to read the story. I may tweak it and turn it into a deviation. Do you think I should? I warn you you will be seeing my goofy side if you read it so be prepared. Xp
Spirits are always with you! Bohahaha.

Apparently I'm a bit of a ditz and couldn't figure out where to find the story? But I think if you want to tweak it and turn it into a deviation, you TOTES SHOULD because who cares what anyone else thinks?!

It wasn't actually in story form it was just Yuuki and I's comments back and forth below that B&W picture that I linked to you. I really have been thinking or it. I also have about a dozen other ideas bouncing around in my head waiting to be channeled forth into deviations, if I ever get some free time.

Thank you so much for adding Thorns Tribute to your collection!
I had to admit though it took awhile to build up the courage to comment. It really is a stupid reason too. It's all because of your cute penguin avatar. The combination of you being a woman coupled with you having a liking of a certain antarctic flightless fowl, just sent an unexpected rush of trepidation over me due to emotions that I didn't even know were still lurking in the recesses of my psyche.
I didn't ezpect to be hit by a wave of dark hurtful memories that I thought I had long ago put far behind me. Yet for some reason, even now I am having real trouble keeping composed enough not to flee for the seventh time straight. No, I am going to keep going, because I really am grateful to you and thrilled that something I wrote touched you.
I have to admit I am even a little morbidly fascinated that something from decades ago could still come back and affect me enough that it is hard to do this. It is just so weird that I write a poem about emotional hangups, only to come to your page and discover my own coming back to haunt me. If I was a superstitious man, it would be crossing myself about now to ward of ill omens. Creepily ironic, eh?

Oh, my goodness--it sounds like my sweet penguin might have triggered you a little bit, and for that I am SO so sorry! It is definitely interesting how emotions from so long ago tend to crop back up when we're least expecting it--I think that's part of what psychologists go to school to study, right? I am very, very appreciative that you pushed through them and left a comment for me, though--thank you for fighting against your fight or flight tendencies and sticking it out! I promise, I don't bite (unless asked).
I hope this helps to put aside any lingering bad feelings you might have--and hope that you might find it within yourself to potentially keep me in mind as a writerly friendish person, if you're so inclined. I think you and I might get along.
Thank you again for stopping by and pushing through to comment! I applaud your strength in the face of unforeseen emotional struggles!

Oh, that was such such a wonderful compassionate reply to my silly, senseless aversion to women who love cuddly pengies. It was actually so to experience that last night. It was actually quite a huge surprise to me to have been that deeply affected. I can't really even wrap my head around how to even describe that oddity. You know, if I was a poet I might be tempted to try delve into that a bit and see if I couldn't express it somehow. LOL
I will be back to check out more of your works as well, since you came highly recommended by Danielle Ivanova. I am truly appreciative of your watch. I will give you one as well!

Well, we all do have our own silly, senseless aversions I suppose. I, for instance, have a HUGE thing about ants--they freak me out to no end. So I totally understand!
Thank you so so much for the back--I so appreciate it, and hope you like what you find! I admit I haven't been as active in recent years as I once was; I keep intending to fix that, but I've found that time...it slips away from me pretty quickly.
I am on various other social media sites, though, under this same name (twitter, snapchat, tumblr...) if you'd like to keep in a more "constant" sort of touch. Just let me know! No pressure or worries if not, though, just throwing it out there as, like I said, I tend to get distracted and forget dA is a thing that exists.

Whereas I on the other hand do next to nothing on other sites. I check my FB maybe less than 30 seconds a day, but I live on here, even though I am primarily a writer and there are probably much better forums for that kind of thing. I don't even have accounts on many other sites. I am a more than a bit of an introvert I guess. I love talking to people, but I hate initiating first contact. I suddenly fee like sharing a song with you. Perhaps you have heard it, or a version of it. If you don't like it no big deal. But it just came to mind and I thought even if you didn't enjoy the song you would probably love the poetic lyrics, they are on the same page. But I hope you really do like it.

Hey, no worries at all! I tend to get bored very quickly, and so jump from thing to thing to thing--it's a bit messy and chaotic sometimes, but. I also have a very bad habit of keeping people at a distance; I've been hurt a lot in the past, so letting people in is difficult for me. I'm trying to work on that.
THIS SONG?!?!?! IS AMAZING?!?!?!?!?! Thank you so much for sharing it, oh my penguins. I'm a huge fan of music, so thank you again!

I think music is a shared love of all mankind. We just vary on what forms speak most to us. BUt if you were to walk up to any random person, it would not be a question of whether or not they liked music, but of what styles etc. I took a bit of a gamble that you might like that one, call it an educated guess if you will. Your profile and gallery just had that kind of a "vibe". I love some of Jeff's music, but some of it is too new age meditative, he has quite a few albums that are strictly instrumental even, but there are some real gems mixed in with the "meh". I am super thrilled you liked it, probably even a bit more than I hoped you would. He has several more songs inspired by poetry, Blake, Tennyson, Shakespeare. Obviously I will not be offended if you don't like them, but since you had such an enthusiastic response to the first one I figured I could show a few more of his that are in that same vein. They definitely aren't what you want to listen to if you are in a mood to rock out, but for everyone has their quiet contemplative moments as well.

I won't slame you with any more than that. Forgive me if I got a bit excited to have my offering be so well received. That is not always the case. But you just HAD to mention those ....... birds again didn't you? I am actually grinning in appreciation of your prickly witt. Touche, fair lady, touche indeed. I am still having trouble looking at that beaky B______, with his innocent kawaii blinky eyes and disarming charm, all the better to peck your heart your Promethian liver out for his supper. Yeah, cuteness, that's how they always get you! Just like Ultra Peepi in the "Hamstergeddon" episode of Invader Zim.
So I guess I had better start singing "The Doom Song" now. XD

Hey, feel free to send me song links ANY TIME! I don't promise to like every single one, but I will follow the clickity and listen to it for sure!
And I am sorry, I just couldn't help myself--I'm hoping I'm cute enough that you'll forgive my slip ups and just go with the flow.
I'm not sure what sort of music you like? I'd send you return links but... O.o

Well I have a strong attraction to the dark side, I guess in music. I tend to favor dark epic stuff. One of my favorite bands is Celldweller. I love anything with clever or passionate, thought out lyrics, but I also listen to just about every style except country and rap and weird stuff like marching bands or polka. I am also a Christian so I like Christian music, but I lean toward the heavier indy stuff that is never played on Christian radio. Because of that, most of the bands I like nobody has heard of (like Jeff Johnson). I also have a soft spot of ethnic eastern instrumentation so I am a big fan of the Witcher soundtracks, and I like a lot of anime soundtracks, especially by Kajiura Yuki and Yasaharu Takanashi. I also like blues, Celtic, classical, darkstep, classic rock, etc etc. I am even the weird guy that admits to loving Journey. I also listen to the hippie music my parents liked; Simon and Garfunkel, Credence, Jim Croce, Joan Baez. LOL My iTunes is positively schizophrenic. It will jump from The Eagles to Death metal, to Handel's Messiah, to Blues, to the Batman OSTs, etc. So basically what I am saying is I am open to anything as long as the lyrics aren't nasty. My taste in music is much broader than my taste in art and lit which is pretty much ONLY fantasy. So if you want to send me ANYTHING, I will consider it a privilege to see a brief glimpse into your soul. After all Alan Moore said that the bardic tradition was considered the strongest form of magic there is by many practitioners, so feel free to enchant me. X3
