Lol! Yeah, it's been ages- I don't think I even have AIM anymore. I'm doing really good, living in Iowa with my fiance (Samantha, one of my college roommates); we've been official for a year now. She's teaching 9th grade English, actually- her first year just started. I saw you've been teaching Latin and got sucked into English teaching as well. I'm spending most of my time sleeping with dogs these days, so it's basically the best life ever. So what about you? Still in Ohio? Do you know how Laura or Hannah are doing these days?

Ooh... Congratulations on the engagement!! Have you set a wedding date yet? And I believe I remember you talking about Samantha... How's her first year going so far? I know from experience that the first year can be pretty rough.
And yep! Still in Ohio and teaching Latin and 7th grade English. It's been good
And multiple dogs now? You have more than just the dachsund (whose name I want to say is Durin, but I wouldn't put a large amount of money on it...)?
Haven't spoken to Laura lately. We had a rather huge falling out a little over a year ago, to the shock and surprise of absolutely no one...heh... I talk to Hannah on and off though, and last I heard she was still in Japan with Bill and doing well.
How's the art going? And what's this I see in your profile about you having horses...?

We're still deciding if we want to have a full-blown wedding or just elope, heehee. We might compromise and drag our parents up here to get everything official, then have a reception or something later on. I'd be surprised if we hold out much longer though... it's legal for us here, and we want it pretty badly. Her first year is pretty hard; she's really stressed out and hasn't quite found her feet yet, but she adores the kids and everyone at the school is nice and understanding, which helps.

Actually, I brought Durin (you remembered right) into the relationship and Samantha brought everybody else- a Great Perenese/Blue Heeler mix named Leo (a reformed food-agressive rescue), her two cats who lived with us at Carleton (Friday, an 8-year-old black emo cat and Jane, a playful fluffy white cat who is extremely sweet), her 22-year-old retired bay gelding Arizona who she's had for over 15 years, a mothering boss-mare appie named Rose who they've had since she was a filly, a timid former racehorse named Bea who is her current riding horse (also a bay and rescued from neglect) and finally, Dudley the mini-donkey who got attached to Arizona at a barn near Carleton and ended up coming home with him, lol. We only have the dogs with us here since we haven't found a barn to board Bea at yet or asked our landlord about the cats. It's funny because I spent most of my life trying to convince my parents that I need to be near animals, finally bringing Durin home and having him teach me about dogs without their help at all, and then landed in a house with all of the above plus Samantha's parents' two dogs, Cody and Jonah, for over six months. Basically it's the most lucky, awesome thing to ever happen to me. They've all taught me a lot and I'm missing the heck out of everyone who is still seven hours away at her parents' house.

Which is probably more than you ever needed to know, lol XD. Just listing them takes a long time, and I could go on for ages about each one. So who are you living with now? I saw you have a gorgeous cat, and I know you had three dogs at one point and at least one horse, though you lost Sandy while in Japan.

That's too bad about Laura... should I ask what happened? Though I'm not too surprised. I'm glad Hannah made it back to Japan, that's awesome. I miss Tokyo so much sometimes, like when in a small town with no sushi in sight. x.x

My art's going really well actually- I'm improving a lot since I took some more classes when I lived in Houston after graduation. At first I thought I'd try to get the skills to do animation, but my narcolepsy got a lot worse despite meds and I had to stop taking classes. Then I got back together with Samantha a year ago and moved in with her, which works great because she's so busy she needs help with the animals and housework. So I can be useful without wearing myself out all the time.

It seems like you've really gotten into photography, which is so awesome. <3 Anything else interesting going on?
