As for price, hmmm. I'm not too sure. As you know, drawing a decent picture takes a bit of time. I prefer to work to someone's budget, and the complexity of the idea. Do you have an idea of what you're after?

Hmm. Well, something similar to the Carebears pic (It would look much better now, as my skills have become much more polished) would probably run around $70USD... Start taking things out, like only one character, no background etc and the price drops

Yeah, erratic pay is why I left Freelancing as a fulltime job... Still, it was your tutorials on comic colouring(at the infogrames forums... Haha) that got me really interested in drawing again... Which grew into what I'm doing now... So thanks. Heh, for the Christmas episode last year I even used what you taught about colouring Dragonballs to make some Christmas Baubles cuz I couldn't be bothered opening a 3D program
Yeah, work is alright... Has it's ups and downs... Certainly doesn't pay enough, but almost all of the people in the company are fantastic... Makes it worth while

Have you heard about the brushes they're gonna start to introduce in CS5? A dude was talking about it at work today, reckons you'll be able to see the bristles in 3D when modifying them and brush with wet paint that will dry and all kinds of weird effects?? Don't fully understand what he was on about but it sounds intense!

I've been playing with all this brush setting stuff in photoshop recently and just keep making a complete mess of the works, it never looks anything like all the really cool textured brushy stuff that is out there on this site. I wish there were some courses in New Zealand which could teach you a few tricks about it or at least show you how to even develop the techniques into something that looks half decent. It always ends up going very wrong to the point where it's just too shameful to put the works on here! Arrgh, frustration!

Content Aware is kinda like a special "fill" tool. You make a selection, fill it, and it looks at the area around it and fills it with something similar... There are a few vids on youtube... Aswell as some hilarious parody vids of it
