Sorry for disappearing on you back then. Long story short, a lot of things started happening and I should have let you know. As for the AWC, I'm not sure what I plan to do. I've actually been thinking about it on and off for months but I still haven't decided on what I want to do.

I actually started working full time the week after school ended so... -sob-. It always feels like I have no time for anything unless I stay up super late; I haven't even unpacked some of my suitcases because I always feel so tired when I get home. Enjoy you summer break while you still can! Once you get a full time job, it's all over. ;w;

My job actually started full time on Monday! they still think I'm in school this week, so I didn't get any shifts until this weekend, hahaha. I think I get weekdays once July starts. :0 The shifts aren't too long because there's lots of employees who all have to be accommodated, and also, I signed up for working only eight hours max in a day LOL. I'm lazy and also, for the few times I actually ever worked 7.5 hours, I was dead tired at the end, so I doubt I can handle it anyways. ;m;

So where do you work? I work at... an... amusement park LOL it sounds cool but they're a private company so their advertising techniques make me laugh. "ONLY $59.99" in big letters, and in small letters, "for renewal of membership" oh man y so cheap

... Wait, ONLY $59.99 for renewing a membership?! How much does it cost to become a member!? My wallet, it hurts to just read that. It renewing a membership costs a mere $59.99, then the amusement park better be... well, amusing.

I work at an electric meter factory, in the engineering department. My mom told me to look for summer job a week or so before school ended. I assumed she meant to go find a retail job, but she actually meant that she'll ask around her work and see if they had any openings. I have worked there before, doing final inspections on and boxing meters. Rather than have to suffer through that again, I asked if I could work elsewhere. Now, instead of stuffing meters into boxes, I kinda sit/stand in front of a computer all day and try and keep myself busy, since there's not much I can do given my lack of experience. ;A; But at least I'm out of the sun? Do you have any idea what you'll be doing yet?

Yeah, it gets pretty busy, especially since it's the biggest one in this province... haha; July 1st (Canada Day; do you guys have a celebration that day too, or is that... Independence Day on July 4th? I learned a lot of American customs from TV but since I haven't been watching much recently... I'm losing that knowledge LOL) is coming up, so I'm going to have to deal with idiots on that day :'D

Since the prices went up, renewing a membership is $84.99, the same as new membership. WHAT A RIPOFF, EH

What do you do on the computer then? Not work? haha
I remember one time I was supposed to be volunteering at an office, typing in information on the computer. When I was done/while I was procrastinating, I was reading Harry Potter fanfiction LOL;

and yep, I worked there last year as well! we work at the front gates, so we do a lot of work! Mostly we just scan admission/parking tickets and sell them. Oh, and take photos for the membership cards, but I hardly get scheduled there for some reason. HAHA that's pretty boring so I'm glad?

We get both good guests and bad ones. I'd say half and half in quantity. Once you get used to working, the bad guests become more funny than insulting.
Last year in the summer, I had this really nice British family (and their kids) come by to my seller window who wanted to purchase tickets for a day and have fun before returning to the UK the day later. Unfortunately, the day tickets usually advertised are about $60 (tax included?), and "comes with a second day free". Obviously that is a ripoff, and people know it, HAHA. Anyways, there's another "day ticket" NOT advertised for about $45, called the Air Miles ticket, for those who are Air Miles members. The parents were NOT members so I couldn't sell them the ticket. (I would have, though, if the supervisor wasn't hanging around and helping a coworker at that time.) I apologized for not being able to find a ticket that worked for them, and the parents said they'd rather not buy the tickets. I felt pretty bad because they were so kind. ): but eh, couldn't do anything about it...

We just celebrate on July 4th. Kinda. Depending on where you live, the celebrations might happen earlier. The city I was born in, for example, always does the big celebrations on the 1st, while the city beside where I currently live does it on the 3rd. On the other hand, the city I live in celebrates on the 4th.

O_O Is that for a family of four? Speaking of a family of four, I hate those kind of package deals because I see families of three or five more than I see a family of four, so you're either paying for an extra person or need to pay extra for your other person.

I'm supposed to be finding out the commands sent from the computer to this test board . What my workplace wants to do is code a program to interact with the board, since the one it comes with works off of (or on?) DOS. They also want to automatically store any test data into their database, and they either can't do that or it's hard to do with the DOS program. The company that made that test board went out of business so they can't be contacted for the commands. The work itself could have been done in two weeks or less, but between not being able to get what I need to work efficiently because I'm an intern, and things happening at work, I've had to stretch my work out to cover two months. The computer I was working on also has no internet connection so... ;A;

:\ I'll never understand some business practices. They just seem so... detrimental in the long run? I dunno. It's kinda hard for me to say what exactly my problem with some businesses are. Probably because it's one minute till midnight. Could you have just sold the Air Miles tickets to that family like that? Isn't there a way for them to check and see if the family were really Air Miles members?
