Nice work

Can I ask your preference of macro lens? I am using a 75-300 Macro on my Sony A100 but I find it difficult to get pin sharp focus due to the large focal length and f4.5 aperture.

thanks for the comment!

If you can afford it, the Sigma 150mm has proved to be an excellent lens from the results i've seen (not got one myself, a bit pricey).

The best macro lenses seem to be primes with a fixed focal length, although the macro mode on zooms can also yield good results. Just try and remember to use manual focus and a smaller aperture size (around f11 is good) for increasing the depth of field, and a fas enough shutter speed to reduce camera shake (dont know how effective the antishake is on an alpha?)

Im using an old Tamron SP 90 f2.5 at the moment with a x2 teleconverter on my D40X. Produces pin sharp results, but you have to work for it as everything has to be done manually.

Good luck!
