# About me
Hey guys, I'm A. Jay Rodriguez. Welcome to my page!!! :D (I know, not that exciting lol.. ) I will commonly refer to myself as "Just a kid who loves to doodle and write" since I consider myself to act like a child (not in a bad way, just like being childish sometimes) and really enjoy both of those hobbies. :D I will constantly be doodling on the edges of my notebooks or fill in the empty spaces of my agendas. πNow, about my drawing style. I tend to draw most of my human characters as some sort of stick figures mashed together with other kinds of drawing styles. Thanks to the obsession over manga that I developed in the 7th grade, I have begun to draw most expressions with strong emotions with a "manga" style. Not exactly chibis, since the bodies are still stick figure like...kind of. :P
This also began with the development of my character, A.J. Rodriguez (what an original name lol). I'll upload a picture of her soon. Now, a bit of history. She was created thanks to my love for drawing. I used to draw comic strips that would tell some hilarious event that either happened to me or a close friend. And most of what my comic strips were about were the adventures I had with my cousins. But A.J. Rodriguez came to be when I entered 6th grade and created a fake diary filled with the events that I believed were hilarious throughout middle school. It later developed into a young girl (based off of me, of course, cuz I'm arrogant (that's a lie, by the way)) trying to survive a super strict teacher, attempts to fit in with crazy friends, and her family, consisting of a clueless older bro, a stuck-up and girly older sister, and younger sister with the mind of an evil mad genius who constantly pulls pranks on her. I have many great ideas for this character and her adventures, including becomkng a pirate, getting sucked into video games, and traveling through time.
Thanks to A.J. most of my uploaded art will be doodles, since over the years, ideas have come to mind and in order to keep them, I've had to use this simple, easy style to remember and have perfected it (or at least become better). I might upload old art (just because :P) and some really good (for my art skill) drawings I may come up with :D. Most of the drawings will be manga styled, since I'm comfortable with that.
Well, I hope you guys enjoy my doodles (and sometimes manga-styled drawings). I'll try separating fan art from original characters (aka A.J. and friends). I might need to add them to some sort of favorites folder, so if you see my drawings in my favs, it's not because I'm arrogant! I swear to Bob! Just want to organize them. (Though I may not have a lot).
