Hi, well thanks a lot for that message! Your idea is amazing! And I'm really... honored you asked me for tips.

But, I work on Photoshop, and don't know a thing about Gimp, but I think I can give you tips anyway. I'm quite busy at the time because of a set for a movie I'm doing and a big event that be important for ma diploma. But I will always find the time to answer your email!

So first, you need to find, so the dress you have it, a body position, and a photo of Amanda head that fits on the body position.

Here is an exemple of a future drawing I'll make (in a very distant future.....)

(delete the spaces and replace (DOT) by . ) DA wouldn't let me link the picture

As you can see, I've already try the head on the body, because sometimes you have surprises. I work on realistic Digital Drawing, so I use this technique, but if you want a more comic style... don't do this.

To find photos of bodies, go to the ressources photo category in DA, you'll find everything you'll need. Then, you must decide you coloring technique... (that's the most hard to determine), to find it, search Drawing Gimp brushes in DA. You'll find a collectiong of different painting brushes that will change the effect of your coloring.

I advice you to search for tutorials, and when you find one that give a technique that seems possible for you and/or that you love, use the tutorial everytime you do a part of your drawing.

If you go to my Galery, you will find a simple tutorial on how to draw Helen's face. It's in french, but try to follow the pictures, if you can't understand how something is done, tell me and I'll explain.

Well, it sounds fascinating. I hope it goes well. 'A very distant future' - that's how I am with writing, there are plots I doubt I'll move onto in the next decade. Thank you for the tips, I appreciate the help. I got as far as knowing how to use the tools then ran into a brick wall. Figuratively.

Actually, I've been learning French for a few years now. So I should manage between my knowledge and the half-help that Google Translate is.

I do have Facebook but I'm in a bad habit of not having used it in over a year, unfortunately. But I'm on Twitter, Skype (IM), Hotmail and Google+, if that helps - they're the only other websites I can think of 'like' Facebook.
