They are made for certain people, and for private use only.

I know you designed that for a friend but she wanted to compliment an awesome emote she found!

nobody checks the descriptions of chat friendly emotes they see what they like and add it. also it is not stealing to use the thumb, that's why dA has thumbs so you can post up stuff and not take credit for it.

I have seen people using the customs I made for myself in various places thanks to the new mention feature, I don't see it as a bad thing I know they are not likely to use it more then once or twice and it advertises my art.

Also remember you and your commissioners do not have all extensive rights to the emote it was made by ~sereneworx who was nice enough to add a creative commons. So if we want to get technical you are lucky to get to submit la emotes let alone dictate how people use them on the site.

Anyways I am sure someone somewhere got away with using your customs before the mention feature was put in place for beta testers and I think you should let it slide in the future unless you see evidence of someone using them too often, or actually stealing them. I am saying this because while I know you are trying to be professional you are coming off as pushy and negative.

As for reporting her, I doubt that will do anything the $taff are always busy with more serious reports and there is no real rule about posting emotes in comments, in fact its kinda encouraged.

IF you absolutely can't stand the thought of someone using your emotes you could always move them to scraps. this will prevent people from finding them so easily and adding them to their comments.

I was asked by the owner of another emote's character to start telling people that they'd rather not have their characters being used randomly.

hmm well It came off a bit pushy though I know you meant well.

I would say don't go for the threat just ask politely and like I said you can move the emotes to scraps to avoid them being found so easily.
