Hey, there! You should really check the 405th forum, they have all they information you'll need, and there are people who would love to help who do this sort of thing for a living. It's pretty sweet. [link]

This particular forum is mostly Halo-based, but there are several people who've made Iron Man suits. Definitely check out MasterLe247 (I think that's his name) and TimeBandit (once again, not entirely sure on the name).

If you make some armor, totally post it (I would love to see it)! Good luck. (-:

P.S.: PLEASE make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you invest in the proper safety gear! It's only like $30 at home depot, and you will be saving yourself a hell of a lot of money and pain later in life. (-:
