I practise Parkour and have done, long before it was mainstream. I also like photography and getting images of Parkour as well as filming it too. If I am not training, I will be at home working out which is a second hobby of mine.I eat, sleep and breathe fitness and help others when I can. I hope in turn my movement and information I provide gives others inspiration, motivation and helps them on their journey to train correctly, safely and help others.

Hey dude, why thank you I'm glad you enjoyed viewing them and are now motivated to train. It's always a great time when winter has passed and then the warm/dry weather of spring and summer comes back once again.

Haha! I did notice when I just logged on. It's quite alright though, it makes me happy that people like my work. I totally agree with you though, the human body and the ways it look during Parkour movement is awesome. There is plenty more in my galleries and will be plenty more to come.

Thanks, there are many galleries to go through! Many years of photography. I shall try my best with my photos, it is fun and cool if you really wanted to take part. You should look for a local community to join.

Why thank you. My advice would be see if you have a local community near you which you could get in touch with and join. That would be the easiest way to get taught and involved. The rest of training is down to persistence and practice.

Hey dude, How you doing?
I was wondering, do you stay anywhere near Edinburgh? Just wondering because I'd love to try my hand at parkour photography but i've never photographed it before so wouldn't really have a clue what i'm doing haha. How long you been doing parkour?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Zade-uk In reply to JamesWhyte [2012-02-18 18:59:19 +0000 UTC]
Hey dude. Not too bad thanks, yourself? I've not been up to Edinburgh for Parkour as of yet. If you want to get some shots of the locals try [link] it should have all info for where they meet, go and train etc.
Parkour people are really down to earth and relaxed and are used to people taking photography and filming so don't be too worried about not knowing how to go about capturing. Just experiment and I'm sure you'll get good results!
I've been practising Parkour for around 6ish years now. So a fairly long time compared to many haha.

Glad to hear. I'm good thanks,
Yeah man, I've been up bristo before. Was just wondering if you'd been up before.
Think it would be a bit daunting first time on my own haha.
I don't even have a camera at the moment though, it broke!
Yeah man, Thanks.
6 years, Nice one haha. I was doing it for 3ish years but stopped due to injury, Would love to get back out and do it again but the injury was pretty serious so I can't move the way I used to which sucks but I enjoy watching it still

Zade-uk In reply to JamesWhyte [2012-02-22 13:48:45 +0000 UTC]
You get used to it just like when you go to your first parkour Jam. Unlucky about the camera dude.
What injury did you sustain? I've had some pretty serious ones too. They even make or break your training livelihood. I got put out of training after I tore all my adductor's I was out for a whole year and then it took a further year before I could train proper again and I still get pain from time to time.
I can't not do Parkour, and find it very hard to just sit and watch others as it really does tempt me to train haha.
I think ligament and tendon injuries are the worse as they last so long!

JamesWhyte In reply to Zade-uk [2012-02-25 17:08:29 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I only went to one Jam haha.
26th September 2009 - Great day! got my guitar that day too haha
It was a back injury, I ran up a container (like you get on construction sites) but there is usually a lip on the top but there wasn't on this one so my body sort of pushed out the way and I put my hands out so I wouldn't hit my face when I landed and a practically folded like a sandwich, Moved my Killiac out of place & ended up paralysed from the waist down for 3 hours. Couldn't even move my toes lol.
Still get bad trouble with my back but it's not why I stopped. My friends stopped and no-one in my area does it these days.
What's adductor's?
I've got a tendon injury just now haha. Got tendonitis in my wrist.

Zade-uk In reply to JamesWhyte [2012-02-27 19:57:56 +0000 UTC]
Ah right only one jam, that is unlucky thought dude with what happened, Ouch I bet that hurt for sure! Yea things like that will always be problematic if not rehabilitated afterwards.
Adductor's are the groin muscle on the inner thigh. A sprained mine then carried on training then I ended up tearing through them all and couldn't use it never mind walk etc for a long time.
Tendinitis is the biggest pk killer, which makes people stop or quit.

JamesWhyte In reply to Zade-uk [2012-03-11 19:50:53 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I'd like to get back down soon though to watch.
Sadly my Pk day's are over.
It sure did hurt like hell haha. It didn't crack until about 3 days afterwards.
Ouch, that sucks dude, Must have been agony.
Least your walking & stuff now though.
I'm trying to get physio on my hand. My pinkie has dropped and I can't grip anything with 2 of my fingers.
Hopefully will be able to again. Even if it does take a while.
Will take months to get back up to what it used to be like.

Hey how do you do a perfect backflip?
You see when I'm doing my backflip I always land on my hands first. I wanted to do a perfect backflip, so that i can land with my feet. Do you have any tips so that i can spin faster or jump higher?

Oh yes! I go home tired then have all my lil babies meowing, and sit on my lap as a few of them are lap cats. Very much so the purring always relaxes you.
