eternal darkness.
i technically owe you a second starter,, I'll get to that one sometime in the future. My apologies my friend udfjjf,, i just take awhile to get to things..
[🌙]. Pitch had been roaming around in the shadows for quite some time tonight, scaring children by turning their dreams into nightmares. It thrilled him, watching their faces scrunch in fear to the shrill shrieks they emitted when awaking. He watched as the clouds littered the sky and covered its starling beauty. But.. He sensed someone else was here, someone with a completely interdimensional aura. He has to figure out who this was...
[🌙]. The nightmare king headed towards the source, a wooded clearing very much like his own in some ways: dark, cold, mysterious... He took out a scythe, wary on whether he would actually use it. He had heard static in his ears on the way here, so he knew something was up. Silver-golden eyes scan the area, checking for anything that moved. He would have to simply wait until something came along, he had intuition that a presence was here.

> as usual, the woods were as dark and cold as ever.
> to a normal person, they wouldn't seem weird or off at all. they just looked like...well, like a usual somewhat scary looking area that you'd drive by in the middle of the night. most people isn't think much of it.
> to people like pitch, though, they were DEFINITELY weird, especially with the negative energy that seemed to fill and fuel the place. whether that was caused by the forest itself or its iņ̶̀ha͘͏̴b̶i̶͞͏t̴a͘͞n҉̕͝t̛ was anybody's guess.
> either way, there was something up.
> and if the strange energy it seemed to radiate didn't prove that, the way there seemed to be.....something following the newcomer just out of his line of sight certainly did. whatever it was, it was big, judging by the way that it could easily be mistaken for a tree.
> the trees here weren't exactly small, either. hm.

(/ well... this was unnerving, to say the least.
(/ fujimoto usually didn't travel so far inland, but there was something about these woods that both unsettled and piqued his curiosity. and seeing as how there was a river in the woods, he used that as a means of transportation without having to risk drying out.
(/ so, here he was, waist-deep in the river (and walking surprisingly fast in it, courtesy of his magic), searching for whatever it was that drew his attention in the first place.
(/ it was close, he knew that much... maybe a bit closer than expected.

(/ indeed, fujimoto was immune to the temperature of the lake. not being exactly human himself, he no longer shared much of their weaknesses.
(/ in fact, if anything, being in the cold lake was rather refreshing. it was clean, which was becoming more and more of a rarity nowadays.
(/ but regardless, that wasn't his main focus at the moment. something was here. he didn't know what, but he knew it wasn't your regular nature spirit. if it was...
(/ ...well, this forest would be a lot more 'alive', in a sense.
(/ eventually, his eyes rested on the disturbing thing stalking him, and he visibly flinched; who wouldn't, seeing a giant, faceless being just watching them?
(/ ...but he didn't run, either.

> it was simply...well, standing there (as usual), staring at fuji with one of its hands resting on one of the trees that was next to it.
> after a second, it tilted its head to the side. ...that could mean a lot of things, but it's safe to assume that it was either done out of curious or as a sort of greeting in this case.

As if the tiny martian's eyes didn't already take up half his head, they seemed to get even bigger at the sight of a being 2-3 times bigger than any earthling. At the same time... he couldn't indentify whether this ungodly tall dude was an earthling or not. A being of some other dimension, maybe?
His best guess was an interrogation. Well actually it was the worst possible thing to do, but sssh don't tell him that.

”Of course. I understand. I apologize.”
He stood up as quickly as he sat down and looked around. There was his HQ, just meters away. HQ meaning a cardboard box with a broken umbrella sticking out.
“Something tells me I should move my things somewhere else... and I just moved two days ago.”
He let out a tired sigh. Even the most isolated areas seemed to by occupied by some creature or another.

you say witch like it's a bad thing.
so it begins-
" Come, little children
I'll take thee away
Into a land
Of enchantment
Come, little children
The time's come to play
Here in my garden
Of shadows
Follow, sweet children
I'll show thee the way
Through all the pain and
The sorrows
Weep not, poor children
For life is this way
Murdering beauty and
Passions 🎶 "
. Beware of the Hallow Witch, for they haunt these woods. Is what everyone would say in the village to anyone who would dare enter the woods where the fearing witch lived and haunted. A sweet, melody filled voice filled the cold air of the night, the moon full and bursting with light. Silhouettes of the bare trees blended in the night as the pin prick stars flickered in random patters, there were no one else out on this quiet night but the Halloween Witch. As a warning of trespassers, there hung Walking step by step down a path lead by trees, leaving behind a glowing light blueish-white magical substance like pixie dust as if the hypnotizing spell was to spread throughout the area, catching the ears of anyone that was around, also used as a light to see the wondering eyes of the witch. Running their hand lightly through the bushes that followed, it was a beautiful scenery indeed, thats why they loved living here. The nature of the woods can very much so be very appealing to the eyes. They had their black hooded cape dropped over their shoulders, the goat skull, Samuel, placed upon their head they would wear during rituals and potion making, other hand held the wooden staff with a few witchcraft accessories tied around it. It always sent chills throughout their body, but for all the right reasons, softly shutting their hazel-brownish eyes that no longer glistened in the moon's light, feeling the majestic vibes around them, welcoming it into their presence and soul. The witch loved showing off their magic, the power expired by song casted the spell, the small twinkling orbs rides higher and higher like lanterns. Dancing in the air like fireflies as they lightly moved their arms up at shoulder level, standing their still in the middle of it all, a front row seat was always exquisite. Making glowing dark roses grow from the bushes an vines wrapping around trunks of trees just for fun, they did live in the woods after all.

( ! ) hope this?? WORKS, SO MUCH FOR PLOTTING LMAO -
(|| - the wolf of the wilds loved one thing and one thing alone- the forest, just the trees alone were a breathtaking sight. yet, with the woods came many tales that scared cennétig to death as a child, and still terrified her even now- those legends of cryptids that hid among the leaves, whatever they were called- wendigos and the like being of the most feared by her standards. yet, another thing that scared her just as much, maybe moreso- the tales of the tall man with no face; it left her having many sleepless nights, paranoia oft getting the best of her. ||(|| - it felt.. quite ironic, really, the thing you fear most being right in the heart of the place you most loved, moving close by even- maybe unaware of what lay tucked away in the shadows, but such was the luck of the wolf, right? plus, it’s not like she’d linger here long. she had to pass through the area to get to her destination in the mountains, something was calling to her there, something that could lead her closer to finding out more of her own spiritual heritage. ||
(|| - cennétig... tensed, as she walked, something was close by, the feeling of being watched was far too strong- had she been followed? what if she’d been found? what if it was a wild animal? no, this.. feeling was- ergh. ||
” heey, whatever’s there, it’d be better if, you didn’t, i don’t know, try to act spooky, or something, if you are there- please, i don’t need this right now. ”
(|| - her hand fell on the hilt of her blade as she quickened her pace, her other palm rested on her mask, ensuring it kept fastened to her face, tugging at her hood as she whipped around the trees in a panicked fashion, she was rearing to sprint and she wasnt’ even sure if there was a threat to begin with. ||

> the forest was as cold and dark as ever. the usual thin layer of fog was present, which only made the chill worse. it wasn't too bad, though. it could probably easily be dealt with by a simple jacket.
> there were a few small animals present as well. one could hear them skittering around if they were to listen.
> of course, most of the people that came in here didn't do that. they only ever seemed to come in search of it.
> and they got just what they wanted as well, judging by the fact that most of them never came out, and the ones that did were....changed.
> thats besides the point, though.
> the creature had known that the girl had entered its territory the second she'd put one foot in, and the instant it felt her precense, it appeared, off in the distance, just out of her field of view.
> it, of course, had been planning to do its usual 'follow and watch' routine, and thats what it was doing now.
> though it couldn't help but note just how.......weird the humans garmet was.
> and the fact that she had a sword and seemed fully ready to use it.
> amusing.
> the thing seemed to do nothing in response to her request. as usual.
> it simply continued with its stalking, though it seemed to of gotten a bit closer. that was probably mildly concerning, but at least it didn't seem hostile at all.
> perhaps the strange magic it could feel radiating off of her had something to do with it. but who knows with this guy, am i right?

(|| - she could feel a gaze on her, somewhere, elsewhere- if she wanted, she could probably pin the slinking around figures’ location; that wasn’t her focus right now. she wanted out, and she needed out. ||
(|| - her hands shook, the illuminating paint of the wood-carved wolfish-mask jittering in her grasp as she careful stepped over loose twig and ground, stumbling here and there over loose stones. any other day, she would be brave; she could be brave. but something about whatever was close by, the sheer energy the lone feeling of being watched radiated? it was a nightmare come to life. it.. really was. ||
” shit, sh- shit, ”
(|| - the single ‘clink’ of steel against rock echoed through the woods, the teen turning heel and yanking the fallen amulet from the ground. it was a little wolf, carved from a gem; a little prized possession given to her by someone. ||
(|| - and like that, valuable seconds lost to a sheer mistake. binding the little steel chains of the neckwear to Tyrfings’ hilt, she started in some sort of quick-speedwalk to try and make up what distance she could’ve been to. ||
(|| - she paused, suddenly, gaze focused on.. something, the eyes of her mask, squinted some, too; with that, she gripped the bark of a tree, hoisting herself into the branches above, cape fluttering after her form as she tried for some higher ground, to make sense of where she was even going from here. ||
