Yeah, haha, I just got a new laptop not even a month ago, it's been a bitch trying to figure out the driver software needed so I can scan things =/. Where are you thinkin' of goin'? If you don't mind me asking. I go to the Art Institute, only in my 4th quarter though, lol.

yeah my computer is still being a bitch about scanning. so i have to do all my work digitally for now. im planning on going to algonquin college (i live in canada) which is a really awesome college to attend for anything.

Haha, Can't live with em' and can't live without em' lol, I suppose? Finally found the right driver for my printer, doing some scanning as we speak, I've been procrastinating seeing as I got work from my first quarter that needs scanning. xP

And that's an awsome career choice , just practice, practice, practice, lol, that's all any of the really good character/concept artists have to say it's all about.

I thought about character design for a long time, but all my real interest and passion is in Game Design, I just love them vidya' game's. lol

thanks im creating a bunch of characters so far for a tournament series that im coming up with. its really all im good at right now; coming up with characters XD. but its really cool youre doing animation. plus game design is awesome!

Haha, I always love the sound of a tournament idea, man, so many things you can do with it, it'd be awsome to see some of those characters once you get em' up here and all that good stuff. actually a couple of my characters are up (though the drawings suck XD) such as hot ride : [link] , fleur de saison : [link] , Sweet Blossom : [link] , opium : [link] , and yuki: [link] . you can also see one of my newer characters voodoo in here [link] . each of these characters are based on songs and thats the theme.

Naw, I wouldn't say they suck, lol. You're at a good point, I can see how you've improved a bit when comparing them actually. I like the coloring on the second link very nice =], and there's definitely something unique in the designs of your chars and style. It's very anime'ish, not that there's anything wrong with that lol. You get a lot of your influence from it? Or do you not watch it at all?

actually i love anime but i havent watched a lot recently. i would try a more western style if i could draw a good western style but im no good at it at all. it always ends up looking anime-esque. itd be nice to branch out but again its really hard.

Same here, haha, all I've really been watching recently is Bleach and FMA Brotherhood though. And I would have to agree with you on branching out and whatnot. But western style is something that just has to change, I just can't find it esthetically pleasing if ya know what I mean. lol

It's always good to challenge yourself now and again, a very good way to see where your current weaknesses are at and whatnot. One thing I've been doing a lot recently in my spare time after class is sketching hands, I really fucking suck at them.

Also a kool thing you could do is find a western artist you like, and try to mimic they're style, that could help.
