It was the Qilin picture done in sharpie marker.
I wanted to use it as a refrence on my website to show what a Qilin looks like. Credit would've been given to you with a link back to your deviantart page. But, it seems to've disappeared from your gallery. D:

Oh... that one. I think I did a clean up sometime after you wrote me, and Qilin happens to be one of those who got sacked. I'm not sure where the original is either since I just gutted my studio this week. Thanks for liking my piece that much. I think the best thing to do right now is for you to find another source for your website. :) (Smile) - :)

D: I was wondering where it went! Because I found it and then wrote you the next day..and it was gone. I really liked that picture because it was a simple drawing and you could see all the details. I haven't been able to find a good picture of a Qilin besides that one. >< Damn it.

To be more specific, about faces, some tips about proportion and how to draw male mouths.

Just the mouth region I have little to say, since I have little experience drawing or painting beards.

Otherwise, the difference is very subtle in smoothness and texture. Those usually won't come out unless you're doing realistic portrait paintings.

Jaw shape and facial hair are what usually used to indicate gender in the mouth region.
