# About me
Hey everybody,I finally decided to up and join this group of deviants and already such a positive response! Shoulda done this long ago. Anyway, a little about me...
I'm currently the Creative Director of Marvel Themed Entertainment (and a former Walt Disney Imagineer) and a special events Illustrator for Walt Disney Merchandising. I've done loads of freelance gigs in tattoo, clothing, and jewelry design. Before coming to Imagineering, I worked as a penciller in comics doing some small-press stuff. Also working as a Story Consultant and Cover Artist on Marvel's "Disney Kingdoms" series starting with "Seekers of the Weird", "Figment", "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad", "Haunted Mansion" and the "Enchanted Tiki Room"!

Doing anything new for the Haunted Mansion comic? I couldn't find your variant cover so I had to settle for the regular issue, still a great cover though!

I'm not necessarily doing anything new but rather Marvel is using some of my existing paintings for variant covers. Hope you're able to track them down!

Hello I really dig your work its awesome, I have seen your work at Disneyland a year or so ago and I thought it was amazing. I also just listened to you on Mousetalgia last week and I was curious about on how do you sign up for the imagineering contest. I have always been a huge Disneyland fan since I was a child. I'm 21 now and finishing up my school by the end of December. It would be awesome if you can give me an insight on Imagineering and where I would be able to get my art work to them. I know its a whole lot to ask for but it would be great. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the nice compliments!! So glad you've enjoyed my work and heard the Mousetalgia show. As for ImagiNations, you can check online for entry deadlines. I believe the contest isn't being held in 2011 so start planning now to enter in 2012!!! Good luck!

Just heard you on Mousetalgia, too...very cool! I'm really interested in working for Disney...someday...far off in the future...and Imagineering's my pie-in-the-sky career, so it was really fun to hear from someone on the "other side."

Wow, that really hit me hard. I really never thought of that, thanks. It really is opening a new door in my life to think about. Sorry for all the questions, I'm only curious. But, does Disney only accept people with previous knowledge on the subject besides college? Or do they look at a portfolio and see who has the best out of the people going for the job?

There isn't a clearly marked road to a career with Disney. The best thing you can do is go to school (if you're not already) and learn all you can about your chosen craft. Become the best at whatever it is that you want to do. If you are in college, take a look at the ImagiNations program. You can Google it. That was my doorway into Imagineering. Good luck!

It was actually. But a lot of hard work finally paid off only to beget more hard work. Don't stop workin'! That's the moral of the story. Every second you spend not drawing you can count on somebody out there working harder than you. I've lived by that my whole life.
