Thank you . Your mandalas are also great! Once I tried to make some, but mine seem so empty for me, maybe it's a matter I made them digitally, but I'm far from precision you show in your works (and I don't have that much patience ^^' I'm really chaotic person ). (Yay, I see you play LoL ^^. Me too (on EUNE server). Sometimes. But I'm not a good player ^^'. I make more fanarts/fanfictions about than I really play XD).

They say that characters are the hardest subject to draw... well... for me architecture is harder ^^', but I think it's a matter of practice. I spent years drawing characters but I still have years of learning before me ^^'. Anyway, I really like drawing them. I never can express myself that well in landscapes or animals as I can do in characters. But I need to do a lot of exercises, LoL fanarts seem to be a perfect material for that . I don't feel so attached to them as I am to my personal works, but I learn a lot copying works I like .

I'm a really chaotic person too. Always very anxious and stuff. Mandalas calm me down a great deal. Its almost like meditation... I never really had a purpose in life before this... And now I'm completely in love with it. I really want to spend a lot more time on this but I'm a final year architecture student... I hope I get to spend more time on art after I finish college. And I used to play LOL a lot but I don't find much time for it anymore... I play in NA and garena servers.

Oh, you too ^___^? Then architecture must be really challenging for you (at least for me would be ^^', I'm so terribly in drawing buildings, what more drawing them with required precision).
I heard that mandalas can calm like this, my sister colours a lot of them, she even gave me few linearts to fill and I did, but it doesn't work with me. I think that's because the lineart isn't mine and isn't made with whole my heart like some of my works like Ira (mandalas I designed myself - btw thank you for the fave! - as I said seem empty for me). So in the end, I prefer drawing my fantasy characters and it really calms me down and helps unload accumulated emotions. And - because it reflects my thoughts - it helps me understand myself better , both drawing and writing, because at least in my case anxiety is result of not understanding myself ^___^, when I understand I feel much better. Sister says that even if I used not mine mandala lineart they reflected my dark style (I used a lot of black there, while she prefers light pastel colours XD), I feel that using not mine lineart is somehow cheating... but when I try to colour my empty linearts, results are terrible, far worse than when I use not mine linearts. I have no idea why. It's a bit weird ^^'. So I went back to drawing my characters. But it was an interesting experience trying .

Yes. Architecture is challenging. I always do the manual works pretty well... But planning the designs are very challenging because I don't have focus... I can draw buildings well to a certain extent! I have tried drawing characters... But then like you said... They feel empty for me like the mandalas feel for you. Even when I'm drawing mandalas... I somehow feel very connected to them. I've sketched a great deal off characters and buildings... I never keep them... I usually either lose them or give them away to a friend who likes it... These are the very few works that I've started keeping to myself...

Oh, that's really interesting what you say. I never supposed that something abstract can be more personal than a character. But after all that what we said here I can believe it. It's very interesting discovery for me ^____^. I know what does it mean creating things you want to keep for yourself in contrast to these to give away without regret .

Mandalas are personal to me because they make me feel much better as a person. Makes my anxiety much better and reduces my stress levels
