Yeah, I have a suggestion: emoticons!

But if you want something more substantial, maybe try to think not in terms of what you like but what would help to encourage the artist. That way it's not inwardly-directed, and I know for myself, sometimes I have trouble expressing the abstraction of what I feel or think. But your comment on my piece was short but very gratifying. I didn't even think of it in terms of being "beautiful," and that really made me feel great.

How exactly do you get the emoticons in the comment...I am doing something wrong?

Took me a while to figure that out. If you click on the "emoticons" link at the bottom of the comment box, it brings up a list of them. To the left is what you have to type in order for that emoticon to appear. For example, this would be typed as ": fella :" (without the spaces). Does that answer your question or did I miss what you were saying again?

Thank you for the suggestion....the difficulty I am having is when i click on the picture it doesn't allow me to comment....as you get to know me you are going to miss the short comments...LOL!
