I heard it was hot there...and I do agree with you... I wear my winged wheel ( or my Michigan hockey sweater ) here in Western New York ( pretty much anywhere but in my art studio...), and I wear it with pride ( just won't wear it to pittsburgh again......)..and finally, I got all that crap that comes with winning the cup ( book, poster, stuff.....geez thanx mom)





2008-2009 : Detroit wins cup no. 12...this time, I won't miss the greatest block party on earth

I lived in Texas for a while and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed wearing my sweater to all of the Stars/Wings games! I wasn't the only one - I read in the newspaper after one of the games(in which the Wings beat the Stars by a large margin)that a group of people counted the number of different Jerseys as people had walked in the doors and Wings jerseys outnumbered Stars jerseys something like 8 to 1! THAT...was a fantastic thing.

umm hmmmm....................here's a short story for you: I went to a regular season game ( red wings v. buffalo sabres here in buffalo.)....and you wouldn't believe how many wings fans I saw! I knew that red wings fans traveled well, but I didn't think they traveled THAT well. I counted at least 500 to 1000 fans...maybe more....but I do know one thing : an octopus did hit the hsbc ice, and no, I didn't toss it.......
