same. going to be at least a few years and it still might be released until its smooth enough. People who do contribute to the making of the game will get both Alpha and beta test runs of the game in the future to find any bugs before it would be released to the public. Got a long wait ahead of us.

i'll have to put buckskin and pinto in since they're one of the main horses normally seen. If there's no chat box they can't rp. It's supposed to be a realistic simulation after all not a feral heart sort of thing, where all you do is rp and roam. This game is survival, meaning there's really no time to sit and rp as anything could be stalking you.
But it's not always predators to worry about. I'm hoping to add natural disasters.

hmm that's actually a good idea. That'll help player's know how cold or hot it is.
Now i'm stuck, i'm not sure to do that or just add a body temperature symbol in the corner. That was going to tell player's how hot their horse was or how cold they were.

it's actually a great idea. I've been discussing it with my sis and she likes it. This is what she said.
"Even though the area where your horse is could be hot the temperature of the horse might not be the same, as it'll have most likely went under shade or water to cool itself down. This way players will know it's hot and that if the horse heats up they'll know when to leave the shade/water after their temperature has dropped."
She likes the idea. So must likely this will get added.

did you see all my horse texture's added. That's not even half of them lol. We've still got the foal to finish. The cougar is somewhat done. It's feet need fixed and the head is as cat like as zuko could get it. The snake is meshed, Not textured or animated yet though. I've got 13 head markings for the horses done. Not sure if they'll work just yet though. And to top it off, i'm starting on the wolf model. Taking forever lol. The horses are going to be the most work since they're going to have a ton of animations. And i mean a ton.

lets just hope everything goes as planned. We have to keep the predators as low poly as possible as the horses are quite high. And since horses are playable as well as foals there's going to be more of them running around in a hopefully very detailed landscapes. Imagine tons of high poly horses, high poly predators and beautiful terrain? i highly doubt older computers would handle that well. So we've lowered the detail for predators. Since they aren't their to breed. Just to kill you.

we hope so lol. At the moment we're struggling with the landscape of the desert/canyons. We want a more of a western feel to that map. Then we have to draw and plan other Insanely large maps. A lot of work lol.

you don't suck at everything you do, Your a good drawer to start. Just don't put yourself down. It'll make you doubt yourself a lot. Trust me i do it all the time. Specially with this game. I start thinking that this model can't be done. Then after about a day break to get my head cleared of the stress i went through to try and figure it out i'm back on it with tons of idea's that could help get it better.

maybe some realistic horse ideas. I'm sure you've mentioned that you've had horses in the past. Maybe you could help shed some light on behaviors you might have noticed from them. Just not domesticated stuff though. More like Wild behavior.

well the breeding behaviors will come in handy. At the moment we don't know much about what they do before they get down to business of making babies.

Starting in mid to late spring, ending in the fall, is is when the females are actually ready to breed, if you're looking for something like that, but of course as far as actions go, I think one of the most important things will be that the males actually test the air to see if a female is in heat. That would be a useful action I think. Like this; [link] Mares also become somewhat irritable and more aggressive to other females when they're in heat. It also takes them some time to calm down enough for a male to even get close to her, but that's normally if she's never been bred before. The males are also very active during the time. As long as there is an in heat female around, he'll be very routy, and try his best to impress a female. Fighting is also wayyy too common during breeding season. Of course its to impress the female, and to see who gets her first. If not to themselves entirely.

wow this is going to help a lot. I knew about the males sniffing the air but i didn't know about the females getting aggressive towards other females when in heat. I also knew about the females sometimes buck when the males go near them but i thought every female would do it not just the virgins.

They do but like, the virgins are more sensitive due to not ever breeding. It takes getting used to e Ae xD but afuowafnhib that's the majority of things I know about the breeding and all o-o

I'm already busy with my own game project as well as helping out Primitive call with some plant meshes, so i'm practically busy. However point me in the direction of this game project and i'll decide when i see it.

It's going to be a Survival Horse game. In the beginning you take the role of a mare or stallion. You will have to keep that horse alive, Join a herd, breed and have foals. You'll be able to choose from 3 manes and 2 tails for the adults. Foals are NPC's until other players play as those foals. But they'll have to ask the mother for permission to be allowed to play as her foal. But the foals also need their mother to survive. If players decide "ok, I've got the foal i've wanted i'm going off on my own. The foal will die and you'll lose it for good. It's going to hopefully be an online game, however without a chat. The only way to communicate with other horses is through horse language. If your an aggressive horse you can act aggressive to other players. There will hopefully be PVP and Horse Traits. Oh yeah almost forgot, it'll be in a 3d world. We've decided to separate the worlds like FH however the worlds are going to be larger and you can't save spawn point or jump to another world. You'll have to travel from place to place. Whenever you log off the game it will save your position and when you come back on you'll be back where you left off. Foals can only feed off of their mother and their mother only. If something happens to the mother, like she dies from a cougar then the foal will be allowed to feed off other mares, depending on if they have milk to spare.

Unity 3d, but I'd have to wait until I got a hold of a suitable computer. However, if you need a quick test map just to see if models work and the like, I can do that for ya'.

i've already got a map in the progress at the moment. It's being textured. We've not added any map objects like Dead shrubs or rocks yet but will once the models are ready for testing.

well all the servers out now were once the original IT server. However each person in charge of these new servers has changed the game to make it more interesting to players. Its best to just jump to server to server to see which game you like best really as everyone has different tastes.
