well actually in a billion years the moon will escape the Earth's gravity and travel alone. but the sun will also die... EVERYTHING DIES IN THE END MWAHAHA

WAITWAIT actually the moon might die along with the earth when the sun expands. so that means the sun should be able to die before the moon completely leaves, but both of them will die at the same time.

However, Matau said it should be 3x the size it is to turn into a black hole. It will just turn into a Nova in about 3 billion years, expected.

not for every star. the sun won't be a black hole, only stars 20 times as big can. but the sun will expand and burn up a couple planets.
