hey viewers, new account owner here to clear something up in light of recent fuckery.
"88" has become a pretty well known alt-right/Nazi symbol, it's typically code for 'Heil Hitler'.
I just wanna take a moment to have it on record that this account was created in 2011, when I was in 9th grade and just turned 13 years old. This was my first real foray onto the internet. I don't know if my old account actually predates all the alt-right bullshit, but I know that I was sure as hell too young and new to the internet to know what that code was, if it was even around then.
The '88' was chosen because '8' was my dad's favourite/lucky number before he died - in 2011 - because he said it was pretty much an infinity symbol turned upright. He was always a pretty zen guy, and my role model.
To my best recollection I doubled the 8 because the username with a single 8 was taken.
probably a silly concern, I know, but considering the online environment lately, the last thing I want is for someone to find my old account from literal childhood, with its username, and be like uH pHaZe Is A nAzI!!! Figured it was best to play it safe and have something on record considering I no longer have access to this account to close it/change the username.
Peace

He stalked me for a month, and then all of a sudden he threatened me with shooting me in the head because of "un-christian qualities". All because a friend of mine gave him a llama badge :'D

Killing other humans is wrong, no matter what age or size. So is giving a llama after receiving a llama! You eat dick for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

...continued for elsewhere...
No, I understand. Thank you again for the compliment, I could rattle off the propaganda that going to war makes you age much faster than your years. However I don't buy that, I know plenty of fellow veterans, many of whom are much older than I am, that still have the mentality and attitudes of children.

Ah - a veteran, I see...
I suppose that propaganda simply aims to explain that as a soldier, you would see and cope with things very hard to cope with, be subjected to the greatest of pressures, and gain a sense of maturity and an outlook on life shared mostly by those at a far greater age than you...
You get nothing but total respect from me. I have a great interest in the military in general, and wished to join the air force - the cost is great, but so it the value of that which soldiers protect.

Yes, and I could ask why the ...s, but eh...
See what I did there,
Anyway, it's true, but not everyone does deal with it. While the percentage of those experiencing combat due to the fighting of wars with no front line has increased it is still significantly smaller than the number of those who actually serve.
Myself, I'm dedicated to expanding the knowledge and support of "non-combat" veterans with PTSD. There still exists a huge separation simply by virtue of out chosen military specialties that we somehow still didn't experience combat simply because we weren't trained to participate in it.
I never had a chance to work with the RAAF, only the Navy... sorry but those kangaroos on the side of those destroyers will always stay with me as slightly silly.
I'll agree with the value thing, I had joined before 9/11 for that very reason, but the war significantly changed the type and quality of recruits we began receiving. I didn't get out because of my experiences in the wars but because I was being asked to train and serve with borderline sociopaths. Noble sociopaths sure... but sociopaths all the same.
On a lighter note, really love your "genderqueer panromantic bisexual" descriptor. Describes my sister to a "T".

Ahaha ~
Yes, of course.
Ah, I see - I hadn't even thought of that, but it makes a great deal of sense. ^^
Well, ours is one of the best among the world's armed forces, so we can afford some silly ol' kangaroos ~ <3
Oh, I imagine. You'll have to forgive me, the closest I've been to the military is Matthew Reilly novels and Cadet training, but I understand that - especially when the army seems to be nearly a last-chance option, you know?
Thanks. ^^

Fair enough. And very true about being one of the best. Of all the countries I've worked with my absolute favorite is the British Royal Marines and the RAF Regiment, but the Aussie Navy is a close number two.

Awesome. ^^ I did quite a bit of study on the Aussies in the World Wars, and heard some incredible stories - so much to be proud of, really. I was told in Cadets that we hadn't lost to Americans once in the wargames, except for one time when some of our pilots were working with you, haha. Of course, that was probably exaggerated, but hey, you guys do really set the standard - nobody in my detail could believe that at first.

Well it could be true, and also one of the reasons it's not easy to dig up actual result data on the result of said exercises. Still in both PacRim and Talisman Saber I thought we were on the same side...
