The biggest things that have helped over the past few years have been making a consistent schedule to draw (hour a day min between x and y time) and keeping to it, spending a bit of time watching tutorials and artist critiques and trying to make every image a test for learning whether it's a specific type of lighting or anatomy, or even something as small as fur flow along the body.
