oooh really??? I've been living with my great grandma for the past couple of weeks so I haven't been able to access msn since I can only get internet on their computer, not mine, but once I go back home this weekend I'll check it lol! ;u;b
and omgosh that's so nice!!!! *u* I've been taking a beginning art class at this new high school I switched to for this year, which is fun but honestly I think you can learn best from college level courses, as far as art goes XD;;;

Hmmm. I see where you're coming at, but trust me when I say it's better to go to a bigger college or university because it opens up a huuuuge path for you. Although community college may help you choose what you want to do, if you go to a school as big as UW, you can explore more majors/minors/fields/departments/study abroad/seminars/whatever because it's so huge! I think community college would limit that experience, personally. And even if you don't know what you want to do, there are tons and tons of helpful advisors at UW that can help you. For all they care, you can take random classes up until the end of your fall quarter of junior year. That's when you have to declare your major. Even if you went to community college, you'd go through the same thing -- attend comm college for 2 years, go to UW and declare a major right when you start. And if you take that program offered for juniors to attend UW, you can start learning what you want to do earlier in your lifetime.

This is just a biased point of view from a student attending UW, though, haha.

hmmm yeah I guess whether I go to a community college or the UW next year, I'll still have that 2 year leeway to start learning what I want to do, so in that perspective it's not really a huge difference but I guess that's where the whole transitioning thing comes in XD being someone who's socially inept, idk if going to a big college/university right off the bat would be good for me. I remember last year I tried going to a big somewhat fancy high school for freshman year because I thought it would look good on a college resume and give me an edge academically and I ended switching schools after the first semester because I couldn't fit into the environment LOL :"D;;;;
Idk though, I'll have to look into the UW program more before I make a decision, it would definitely be nice to go there ;u;

In college, things like being "socially accepted" is not a big deal. You'll make friends no matter what. There's at least 30k students here!

LOL. That's good! UW is a really great school! ESPECIALLY if you're a resident of washington. Out of state students pay at least 30k a year, but in state students pay like... 10-15k a year. such an awesome deal!! not to mention a bill was just passed to reduce u-pass (a bus pass for almost all bus transits in washington) fees to $60 (right now we pay $99). and and there's this thing called a "FIG" or freshman interest groups. I'm in one. You have 3 classes with the same 25 people. You'd have to TRY to not make any friends. When you go to the same classes together, it's impossible not to meet new people to hang with. And there are thousands and thousands of clubs, even the most randomest ones are cool! there's this one called the fried chicken club; not sure what it is, but i know that you talk about how much you love fried chicken.. lol... And there's a pokemon center club or something for pokemon lovers and... super smash bros club.. and... TVQX (a korean band) club... it's awesome here. (: and we have this thing called "experimental college" which gives classes to everyone on random things that you would normally not take in UW, or it would be hard to get into. I'm taking a few classes next quarter in the experimental college. UW students gets tons of discounts on the classes.

But yeah I was talking to my mom about it and she said that the program at the UW is more like an advanced high school kind of thing? so it's like you have a set number of classes you take and it's from a certain time period like 9-4 or something and you take those classes only with other people in the program :v;;; so idk, if that really is the case probably I won't be able to experiment with courses or anything if I did it, at least that's what it sounds like, but idk eAe;;; my mom said we'll go to an orientation for it or something XD the UW sounds really fun though lol XD Those clubs are really random lmfao XDDD and ooooh I love that experimental college thing!!!! *u* I remember I took a couple courses they had when I was younger, it's so neat! c: but omg UW students get discounts on them??!?!?!? And they're already so cheap in comparison to normal prices for the classes they have, that's amazing *A*

and when's the orientation? /stalkstalk I mean -- just out of curiosity. xD

but yea! some classes that cost like.. $130 normally cost like.. $80 for UW students.
