TheGeck0 In reply to chilling-appiration [2005-09-22 23:39:32 +0000 UTC]

I'm afraid he wasn't, but I was chatting to the tour manager/roadies, or whatever after the gig (as well as the band members, Warren Haynes, Danny Louis and Matt Abts (the bass player went to the coach, grr...) for a little) and one of them says Derek Trucks Band is coming to the UK in April I believe. He's currently recording with Eric Clapton apparently, so watch out for a CD with them on, hehe.

I agree, he is an absolute amazing slide guitarist, one of the best, if not the best. I am currently downloading some live stuff of the Derek Trucks Band that I found online for free here: [link]

So if you have the tools to download this show, do so. I've yet to listen to what I've downloaded so far, but apparently Key To The Highway is gorgeous, I love the version Duane Allman played on the Derek and the Dominoes album.

He's hardly a kid anymore, he's 25, the same age as me, hehe, damn, where's my life got too?

Speak soon mate.

James.
