Shit, man, I've been holding up just fine. I live in Seattle and I'm about to graduate college. After that, I'll be trying to make ends meet because English Literature doesn't exactly prepare you for an immediate job. Checking out dA again is a trip down memory highway. I haven't been active on here since like...2008? Crazy.
Things going well on your end?

Seattle sounds nice. I could get stationed in Washington some time in the future, but we'll see. I'd be open to it minus the cold and the rain. Hah.
My friend has an English degree and he's working as a copy editor for a magazine. So, it is possible to get a job, though maybe not the best jobs around. I had a degree in communication with a double minor in philosophy and anthropology. So, pretty fucking useless. That's why I enlisted after college and got into this nuclear engineering gig.
Navy life has been okay. Kicking ass and taking names, though usually just working to the bone and wishing I was on a deployment. I'd rather be out to sea that stuck here, but you have to put in your dues for a while until you prove yourself.

It gets pretty cold up here but it doesn't snow often. And it actually doesn't rain that much, we just have a ton of rainy days. Cities like Miami actually get more inches of rainfall.

Well, I do hate snow. I hear it's pretty much just off and on, light for the most part. I have a friend in Tacoma who loves it.
Let's see, I enlisted right after college, but didn't go to basic until about a year after that. So about a year now. Not long, but long enough to get a hang of military life. I'm stationed at the Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, SC. It's where we go through all of our engineering training. I'll be up in New York most likely after this, and then who knows from there. I'd be okay with anywhere except the east coast, to be honest.
