No problem ! Your drawings are so cute and cool, I really love them :3 And the way you draw the poses are just...Β It's so natural, it really looks like the characters live their lives, if you know what I mean. Same for expressions, I can totally feel their emotions. You have my complete admiration !Β
I hope you have a wonderful day !Β

Thank you again! Geeeez hearing someone say that just makes my day, thank you thank you thank you! Haha. When it comes to your own art, I like that you can go from an anime/cartoony style to realism in just a few drawings! Plus, I really, really like the realistic style. It's just soo pretty! I hope you have a wonderful day too~

I'm glad to make someone's day by telling the truth Β I don't have a style yet that's why my drawings change constantly. At first I really wanted to have a manga/anime style but my imagination/mind doesn't seem to agree x) So now I try different styles to find mine, and lately I'm having a lot of fun with this "realistic" manga style, so Thank you !
And yesterday I forgot : Happy anniversary ! (a bit late as usual with me )

Hehe, usually when someone says the truth it's painfull and not very pleasant, but I could listen to this kind of truth all day all night XD anyway! I also started drawing in the anime style, but later on I discovered sooooo many great artists who started the same way, BUT they changed the style and made it their own! I found that really fascinating, so I was kinda aiming for the same thing in my artworks! (Still working on it as you can see :3) And honestly, it's so great that you're trying out different styles. Before finding your own, people should always try everything coz you never know which one will be your destined one! Maybe it will be the one you never thought would be even worth giving a try, hehe..
And thank you! Don't worry about being late, this year that I spent here I gave ALL my friends and family their birthday presents MONTHS later. ^^'

Yeah same !Β I follow a lot of artists that I find amazing, and by looking at their first drawings or watching video "... years progression", I noticed that most had also started with the anime style and now had their own style. And others have done the opposite, moving from realism and cartoon style to anime style x)
Your style has changed in a short time indeed ! And I find that today you already have a unique style that fits you well !Β
For me art is a beautiful metaphor of life, we can satisfied with what we have, become very good in this area, but by doing so, we deprive ourselves of everything that awaits us elsewhere, we block and limit ourselves to one thing, but life is not very interesting if it's limited to only one way of doing things. Or we can test everything that comes to our mind, discover the world, learn different cultures and enjoy what's around us, even the simplest things, while progressing continuously in this fascinating and infinite world. Life and art are both full of surprises, and personally I love surprises :3
We are both in the same case so xD It's so hard to remember everything,Β I also forgot to enroll in college this year, I think I'll be 1 year late :/

LITATO In reply to Tainyus [2018-08-29 08:50:46 +0000 UTC]
It's always fun for me to watch other artist's progression as years went by, seeing their art style changing from one to another is truly inspiring and it gives me so much determination to keep on going to achieve what they did! Finding a style or more that would be fun for me, comfortable for me and give me a lot of experience!
And thank you! Throughout this year I had looooads of time to practice and draw in all kinds of styles, and it sure was an adventure, just like like all the years before, but this year was different since I spent so much time looking at other artist's artworks and getting inspired by them! (There sure was a lot, it was a busy year, but it was sooo worth it ). And I completely agree with you! Even though I have already found something that works for me, that doesn't mean my journey is ending! There is still lots and lots of things out there to learn, and so much room to improve! And as long as there's that, we shouldn't settle down that easily, and instead aim for the best and try out many things to get the possibly best result!
Ohhh man, that sounds rough QnQ) better late than never though!

I totally agree, I also love watching the progress of the artists, it's so motivating to realize that by working as hard as they did, we can achieve a result that is similar or that we are proud of .
Right know, my biggest inspiration is a manga called Bakuman. I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but basically it's about two 15 yo guys who put everything aside to devote themselves to their dream of becoming mangaka. They make huge progress in a very short amount ofΒ time because they spend their days writing and drawing. Whenever I don't have the motivation to draw I'll read a few chapters and I'm back for several hours of drawing xD I would also like to find a style, but I don't really pay attention to it right now, I know it will be forged over time.
Indeed, from what I see that year was clearly worth it ! I know I'm repeating myself, but I love your drawings so much >///<. And I also like your state of mind, first with drawing, it's great that you don't rest on your achievements and you want to continue learning knowing that there is always better ! But also with life, I read what you wrote in the journal by silvermist999 and the messages that you leave behind your drawings.
It's so nice of you, there are so many people who are struggling with depression and all that goes with it, and knowing that there are people like you who bring hope reassures me. I'm sure you've helped more than one and I want to thank you for that !
As for college, everything is fine, I finally got accepted, they made an exception π
(I justΒ want to apologize if some things are not really understandable, I did my best but I still have a lot of progress to make in English !)

LITATO In reply to Tainyus [2018-08-30 11:58:34 +0000 UTC]
That sounds like an amazing manga! It's great to have a source of inspiration at all times, whatever it may be! Even if it's watching videos on youtube or reading a manga that btw sounds great! I will definitely check it out!
And I'm so, so happy to know you think that. I've been trying so hard and to know that what I'm doing is really affecting people in a certain way gives me determination to keep going. And yeah, the only way to satisfy the thirst for learning and improving is to keep working hard at all times! XD
And you did? Woah, at first I actually asked to be anonymous since the story I shared was very personal to me, and I used a strong language there too, which I don't usually do here so I was afraid people would look at me differently. But well, things happened and my username was featured in the story, which I'm not angry about. In the end, I tried to make the best out of the situation, in hopes I'd still be able to help somehow! And I'm happy you think so. I will keep doing my best, and you don't need to thank me at all. I just want to help, and that's all.
Whew, I'm glad about that for you! I'm sure you'll do juuust fine in the college hehe.
And no need to apologize, I'm no good in english either and you're doing just fine!

Yes it's a really cool manga, especially for those who are interested in drawing. We really learn all the process of creating a manga and the difficulty of this environment, I recommend it ! Btw I saw that you had opened a poll on this subject, I'll go after proposing some anime / manga, do you have a genre that you prefer? ( science-fi, romance, drama ...).
I feel you, even if I'm still a beginner, every time I receive a comment about my drawings, whatever the nature of this comment, it motivates me to share more my art because I know that I would at least affect a person, and that's more than sufficient. And then, the more I post my drawings, the more I want to post them ><
I understand that you wanted to be anonymous, sharing your thoughts online is really hard, especially when it's so personal. But in the end I think it's still a good thing that your username was featured in the journal, it's much easier to refer to a story when you know it comes from a person who exists, and that you can write to this person to discuss this kind of things. A name may seem ridiculous, but it's one of the most important things in this world ! A name allows people to identify and trust your saying. And then, without even going so far, if your username had not been shared maybe you wouldn't have made your journal, those who follow youΒ would surely not have been aware, which would have been a shame because I'm sure some ofΒ them need to hear this kind of story. In any case it was very brave of you ! And I'm glad you're not angry about it.
Jussstt fine ??? pffffff It's going to be too easy π
Really ? You are not good in English ? Yet you write as a native ! May I ask you what country do you come from?

Sorry for the late response, (I know, I must not be sorry but I'm sorry !) It seems that I injured my wrist, obviously the one with which I draw ... So I couldn't move my right hand during the last three days, and as it still doesn't want to heal, I decided to write everything with the left hand, I will also surely start drawing with the left hand, would be fun xD

Ahh that reminds me of another anime with a similar concept (well not really but they did show how to make a manga and the whole process of making it) it was called Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun I think, and the way they portrayed the manga making was very fun! I've learned soooo many things I didn't know yet about making a manga (basically the basics XD) and it was fun to watch alltogether. And a genre that I'd prefer..... Well, I do like all kinds of anime, as long as it has an interesting plot (like Seven Deadly Sins or Hunter x Hunter, at first I hesitated to watch it because it had so many episodes but in the end, I finnished the series in a week!) and as long as it's entertaining. (For example Servant x Service, it didn't have much of a plot, but the characters were just so fun to watch while they were going on about their daily routines and the way they interacted with each other, not to mention there was a girl named like me that looked exactly like me! Well, uh, not the chest size.....erm, anyway!) anime like Your Lie in April, Angel Beats and those that make me cry are also amazing (I was too scared to watch Clannad because of that btw, I knew I'd get way too attached to the characters and since I knew they'd die, I couldn't risk having an emotional break-down at 2am.) aaand what else...that would cover the Slice of Life genre and the Adventure genre... Oh! Also ones like My Little Monster and Kamisama Kiss are great! Sooo romance too I guess. Also not to mention kinds of anime like Black Butler or Tokyo Ghoul, they have the right amount of gore and psychological drama in them! Aand that should cover most of it, right now I can't remember anything else but these, so I hope that's okay. <3
Exactly! I once came across a problem though, and that was caring more about the quantity than quality. It was a horrible time for me, since I always made sure to put emotion into my artworks, to put a little piece of me into each of them, so that really took a toll on me. I struggled between staying true to myself and listening to my selfish desires which kept screaming at me to do more, more and more, quickly, because time was ticking, and that would mean I'd get more, more and more. More people would come. More people would see. More people would give feedback. More people would give love.
And those thoughts kept coming back late at nights to haunt me after I didn't draw for a whole week, since that little bit of self control I had didn't want me to post something, to share something that would be...not an artwork that I'd put all my soul, heart and hard work into.
And those thoughts kept echoing in my mind, but you know, I was never the one to keep receiving and receiving and taking and taking love from other people. I was never good at that. Instead I wanted to give love (sounds cheesy I know, I'm sorry about that) and so, something like not giving anything and instead keeping on taking people's wonderful, supportive and cheerfull feedbacks was unimaginable for me.
Thankfull, that time is over now, and if it ever comes back (I'm certain that it will) I'll know how to handle it.
And I've never thought of a name that way! Sure, I did realize the deep meaning it had, but not in this sort of direction. Now I'm even more glad that I did go along with it and didn't want to change it to being anonymous.
And really ?? I'm self-taught when it comes to languages, I watched waaay too much anime and read too many books and fanfictions for my own good, so it was a given that I'd pick at least some things up. And I'm from Czech Republic, The Heart of The Europe as they taught us in school that we're called. (Sounds fancy but I really doubt anyone calls our country that way Xd) what about you?
And no worries, really. I have no problem with late responses, especially if you've just injured your wrist! Sweet mackerel, how did it even happen!? I hope it's nothing serious and that it'll heal fast. I can't believe you've managed to write this long reply depending entirely on your left hand! I can't even imagine how long it must have taken you, I applaud you for that effort! And that surely would, can't wait to see that, maybe I'd give it a try too XD

Thank you Tainyus for the fave on my first written piece on DeviantArt. I greatly appreciate.
Tbh, I'm still super nervous of having it up there T-T Cause art is a hobby to me so it's not so nervewrecking to put it up for others to see. But my writing pieces are something I hope to get better- uugh the nervousness is back!
Anyways, thank you again. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I might do some drawings of it. Just let me know if you think I should. Overall, have a good day and take care.
Oh!- thank you for the watch as well XD you didn't have to but thank you.

You can turn a simple "thank you"comment into a short text that is pleasant to read, I can directly feelΒ that you are passionate about writing. I feel sorry for not being able to answer the same way because of my level in English which is not great :/
You do not have to be nervous about it, since it's just a hobby you do not have to worry about people's opinions, and then I find that sharing is a good source of motivation that drives us to continue and progress. I'm glad you share your art on DA !
I really liked this chapter, even if you used complicated words for a non-native English, but at least I learned new words xDΒ Coming out of a dark period, I can easily feel the emotions transmitted by your work.
Yeah, I think you should make drawings of it, I'd love to see them!
Oh yes ! I had to watch you, I do not want to miss the next chapters . It's my turn to thank you for the watch and fav.
And sorry for the English mistakes, I try to improve but I still have trouble^^

IriCrescent In reply to Tainyus [2018-07-29 19:27:53 +0000 UTC]
"I do not want to miss the next chapters" - Ahhh, no pressure right? (hides face) I'll do it, I have to write those chapters cause something is there in the story. It deserves a chance to see the light- just like the poor guy in this story T-T
Oh, I'm glad you liked it even if English isn't your first language. That's super flattering that you would take the extra time to read my work. I have an idea of how complicated learning different languages can be and so I actually super respect people who know a 2nd language.
Despite both my parents knowing different languages, English not being my mother's first as well, I only know English. Even being around my other relatives where English is their second language has made communication is precious to me. So I guess that's where most of my passion comes from for writing XD
So don't worry about meeting my writing standards or anything. I know the effort is there and I appreciate it. If you made mistakes, I know it's not cause you're stupid, it's clear how intelligent and talented you are just by looking at your art. Also, English is er...Β overly complicated language that everyone, even those who's English is their first language have a hard time. Why do you think we started using acronyms like lol, ty, atm, etc?Β
(Face palm) Something is up with me this morning, I keep rambling- aanyways, I'll do my best!- for the chapters and art for my page and I hope you do your best too X3 Would love to see more of your work. (High five for going an extra mile!)
Please take care, and I had fun chatting. Maybe we'll talk about the secrets of the world next time XP XD Later! o/

Tainyus In reply to IriCrescent [2018-07-30 12:29:25 +0000 UTC]
Not at all, there is no pressure. I also want to see more, but forcing yourself to do what you like is usually not the best idea.
Learning English is something that I find fun by its complexity, so if I can improve while reading something fascinating I would take this "extra time" without hesitation
Communication is also something precious to me. I think it's also a very complex and fascinating art form. That's why knowing English seems essential to me, just to chat with my friends who are on the other side of the world for example.
I would still try to do my best, and one day maybe I could reach your level of writing ! "intelligent and talented", you're too sweet xD, it's not really what characterizes me the best but thank you. I could say exactly the same about you, just your first chapter makes me think that you are someone passionate, intelligent and with a limitless imagination. (Not to mention your color pencil drawings that are beautiful).
Do not worry, you can keep rambling, I like it We will both do our best, there is no doubt about it! (High five!)
I had fun chatting too (even if it's complicated xD)! I would love to talk about the secrets of the world, or anything else, talking to you is a real pleasure Take care !
