Crap I have to be at work in four hours and I haven't slept either.

Your futuristic OC who owns pokemon(s) dies and is given a second chance to live. The "unknown being" gives u a contract; in return for bringing u back to life for a long time you kill corrupted pokemon and collect their souls, whoever collects the most gets a wish of any sorts( and possible other rewards). The unknow dude takes the a bit of the soul of your OC and your pokemon (the one with the closest bond to your character) to fuse it into a futuristic gijinka/ or a Guardian. Your guardian has the powers of your pokemon and sole purpose is to protect and help u because if u die, guardian will too. Your actual pokemon is turned into a crystal, which is a beacon for the corrupted pokemon.
 You join a facility/organization with others like you which is disguised as an academy. You are than sorted into divisions based off OC/guardian skill, ie infantry, technology, espionage.

You are here because it's a safe haven: a) It's the future, no normal people can know of Guardians. if the world found out about Guardians the power would be abused to high hell. b) The corrupted pokemon arrive in hoards because they are attracted to the pokemon crystal and the reborn soul, they kill anything on sight and are dangerous to regular people who do/cant know of their existence.

Two OCs. One has pokemon powers but is totally human so no tails/wings.  The armor/suit and weapons(if you want) are the only thing that will represent your pokemon. You can incorporate flying mechanics on your Guardian if your Pokemon can levitate/fly, making it phaze through walls if its a ghost, etc.

Your original oc is called a summoner, summoner can make guardian appear at whim if they're apart.

Both ocs will be a student or working at the "Academy". The academy has regular students/staff, summoners and guardians, the regular people do not know of the others existence.
