Oh, you aren't intruding at all; I'm just noisy about watchers. And friends are always good, right?
Why thank you! I'm glad you find my story (the thing I submitted today?) interesting! The real version I keep offline is what I plan to publish in a few years; it's like my goal in life outside of school.

I didn't want to add the same comment to each photo, so I'll just say it collectively here...
Those string light photos are UH-mazing! Seriously, that's a really great, simple idea. I might have to try something similar once I find mine.
Oh, and on another note... do you think it would be possible to explain to me that alternate technique for shooting photos with a flashlight-type light source. Or is it something that requires more visual example? (If that makes ANY sense. Haha.)
π: 0 β©: 1
SyrusCebell In reply to RoseVonRichter [2009-11-28 05:57:27 +0000 UTC]
lol! It is a simple idea, though I feel it would have turned out better if I had put them on a solid background with a solid horizon line.
Its not difficult, though it does take some time to get it how you like it. (in other words: Don't be afraid to experiment)
What you need to pull it off is an LED flashlight that has a push button power, and a camera that allows for extend exposure times! (the twisty power lights are hard to use accurately, and your standard flashlight will add a different hue to the photo so use it artistically if desired) And what you do is set up your subject, hit the shutter on your camera and light your subject as desired. If you hit the lens with the light it will make a streak, so you want to be sure to only aim it at your subject. (beware of reflective surfaces)
I'll try to get some examples up for you to see. (I promise its not as difficult as that made it look rofl)
And on a side note: Thanks for the Fav's!

On another side note: Sorry I haven't gotten any pictures up of this town yet, but the weather has been awful for these past few months... so I will get them up ASAP!
