Skipper grabbed some chocolate bars and a bag of chips from the rack and then bolted, running out of the store as fast as he could go. The store manager ran after him but couldn't seem to catch up, Skipper rounded a corner and just kept running not even taking note of anyone who could be in his way 'BAM!' he bashed into a taller  boy and dropped all his stuff on the ground when he fell backwards to the floor "Ah!"

Harper yelped as someone smaller knocked into him, sending stumbling a few feet backwards. He pushed his glasses back up, staring at the boy. "I-I'm sorry," he stuttered, offering a hand to help him up. It wasn't exactly his fault, but Harper still felt bad for making the other fall down.

"N-no don't apologize, it was my fault" he accepted the offered hand and stood up "I shouldn't have ran around the corner like that." he stated, picking up the dropped bag of chips and the few candy bars "umm... would you like a chocolate as a peace offering?" he asked, holding a peanut chocolate bar towards the taller male.

"Uhh," he looked around, a little confused by the offer. "Don't worry about it, its your food," Harper laughed nervously. "But thanks though....Where were you headed in such a hurry, by the way?" He inquired. The boy was new to the town and he could use as much information about it as he could get.

"O-okay..." he muttered, he was glad that he didn't have to give his food away "i-i was uh... kinda running away... from someone... c-cause i umm.. s-stole this stuff" he stuttered, unzipping his wet suit and tucking the three chocolate bars into it's inside pocket before zipping it back up, he held the bag of chips close to his chest as if he was scared the other would take it.

Harper looked down at him raising his eyebrows. "...Oh.. I see," he mumbled. "You know.." He shuffled through his bag, pulling out the peanut butter and jelly he had made for himself in case of emergencies, handing it to him along with a bag of carrots. "You should take these, uh, I don't think anyone should have to steal for their food.."

Skipper graciously accepted the food with a smile but then looked up at Harper, confusion spread across his face "Are you really going to just give this to me?" he asked, slightly scared that the older male might want something from him in return for the food.

"Uh...Yeah," he wondered why it seemed so odd. "I mean, I guess you need it more than I do. I have a ton of food back at my place." Harper shrugged. "If you want, you can save it for tomorrow and I can buy you a hotdog or something now? Actually.." He shuffled though his wallet, pulling out two tens. "You can keep these too.."

"You're willing to buy me something too?" he managed to take the money and put it behind his scarf without dropping anything he was holding "Thank you so much... a hot dog would be very nice..." what he said was barely audible though, he sure hoped no other strays saw him with all this food since they would no doubt steal it from him. He looked up at Harper with a smile though because of his droopy eyes it looked more like a sad smile than a happy one.

"Heh, yeah, why wouldnt I be?" Harper have him a small smile, feeling a little bad for him. If his parents didn't have enough money to purchase several islands he would have probably ran them broke a long time ago. "Awesome, c'mon," he began to lead him to where he had saw a hot dog stand.

"My name is Skipper" he answered happily, for some reason he felt more comfortable around people when he knew there names "uh... I'm sorry again for running into you earlier...." he muttered before biting into the hot dog, he hadn't eaten in days so this was a real treat.

Skipper blushed when the other called his name cute, he sat down next to Harper on the bench and placed all the food he had besides the hot dog on the empty space next to him "Yea... it's really hard to find food and most of the time when i do manage to get food bigger strays take it from me.... and because i'm so small i can't do anything about it." he explained.
