# About me

My name is Sylvester. I am a design student at Kolding design school.
Through all of 2011 I have been blogging on a site called getmetocalarts.wordpress.com which chronicled my obsessive need to start a career in animation.
As it turned out though, throughout 2011 I found out that animation may not be all it is cracked up to be and that it may not be the field for me.
That is why I have created this blog, to try and find out where in the creative world I belong one project at a time.
I hope you will follow along with me on my, sure to be, tumultuous journey.

thanks for the watch! i see that you used to want to learn animation at calarts. as a calarts student who almost went into animation, I think you made a good choice if you want to work on video games (or anything else outside of animated films). calarts animation is the best at giving students a very direct path to the big animation studios, and if that's not what you want to do in life, then you shouldn't be in the program. you have an impressive gallery, and i wish you well in your endeavors!

good to know I made the right choice. as I said, at the end of the day, animation (as in the nose to the grindstone hardcore act itself) just wasn't for me. I'm a bit more of a concept artist and possible writer... I'm having a bit of a problem making my mind up on what exactly it is I want to do with my life
