Coming from the person Who didnt get screwed over. I've gotten 3 notes already from ppl saying he screwed them 2. They'll most likely come forward as well. I've got all the emails and all the pay pal information of me paying him and i have all the conversations. So I don't care what you think. I'm in the right and he completely screwed me over BIG TIME. Hes from another country So I cant even go talk to him and hes bashing me on his fb. At this point i gave him 4 months after to finally wise up and give me what he owes me so I DONT CARE anymore! I'm going to continue to bash him until he gets tired and finally sends whats owed to me!!!!
If I don't do anything and just move on what do I gain? He's laughing all the way to the bank! I got nothing! And everyone who says try to HIRE another artist to replicate it isnt the solution. I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN GETTING PPL TO TRY TO REPLICATE BUT THEY CANT. And I dont want to waste the money. So the only thing I can do now is hit him where it hurts! By bashing him on the site he trys to make $$$ off of. And if you can't see that then I hope you commission him for your next project. Then come back and talk to me

You have no idea how artist can be harassed by clients for silly modifications or more speed or wathever or can wait months to be paid or just get screwed by clients who just disapear . I met that kind of situations, almost all artist did.
Plus I didn't see complains on his page, just you.
plus, the font son your screens seems bolder than the actual facebook font
plus, this converstation in mails had holes. I wonder what was your "angry mail", how you told him to speed up months ago
plus I never seen "Hidden by user" stuff in his profile comments, on the contrary I've seen proof of an heathly relation with one of his clients
another one : you accuse him bashing you on his facebook. but it's his PRIVATE account. It's not shared to public. so that's definitly different than what you're doing now
By how you react, I think you just get him angry, by not respecting him, and treat him like shit, so he don't want to hear anything about you again.
and that would be understandable. 575 $ for 22 pages is not exepensive at all. Common rates in france are more in the 200 € so...(and it's still difficult to artist to make a living with that)
You know, doing comics and illustrations is a proper job, and authors are proper humans too, with a life and bills to pay. like you said, money doesn't grow on threes
and you can find someone to complete the rest. his style is pretty generic. But I warn you, if there are many exceptions from desesperated guys, high quality artwork have a price and this is definitly not 25$/page.
