Yes. If you don't take them down, your account can get banned. That wouldn't be fun. But, if you like someone's art and say, "I want to share this!", you can always favorite the art of other peoples. That way, you can show what you like, and not get banned.

just about any creative work you might find should be considered to be copyrighted by default.
A work is not required to have a copyright statement printed on it or near it in order to be considered copyrighted so do not assume that the work is unprotected simply because you cannot see a notice written anywhere.
Also do not confuse the fact that a work is publicly available with the idea that it is public domain or free for use. Being easy to find on the internet does not affect a work's copyrighted status.

i would think that anyone who cares about the image being stolen would put a © on or near the image, otherwise whats the point??
more than half the magna carta renders i have are from other render sites. and no1 from namco or any other corp gives a shit, or why would there be so many?? u know they actually like it?? cuz its free advertising, the more their images and names go around the more people know about it the more people are likely to pay money for the game cuz they liked what they saw so much.
do people also go and rant at the wallpaper sites?? cuz i can garuntee that not a single one is an original image.
but if the image i use as stock comes from a wallpaper that is shared to the world to be used and abused then what exactly have i done wrong?

and seconds, Deviantart is a site for your own work, by uploading those renders here you claim copyright ownership, and that could get both you and Deviantart in trouble.

you should try an image hosting website with more slack rules about image upload and copyright.
lots of people think DA as a site like photobucket and similar image hosting sites, this is wrong, and action gets taken against uploads that break copyright violation.
they get removed (just like your magna carta render just did)
and just because many people break the rules doesn't mean its ok for you to break them too, there is a limited staff wotking on Deviantart, they handle the reports as fast as they can and deal with the rule-breakers.
if you break the rules to many times you get banned and your account gets suspended.
to be honest i don't care about render sites, they go by other rules.
i never said i view all renders as art theft, and i don't flame, i inform.
just read up on the rules on what kind of artworks you are allowed to post on the site,and keep in mind that DA is a privately owned site so they create the rules, you agreed on following them when you signed up here.

You're very unfortunate because I'm a Hyung-Tae Kim fan, I know where all the original images are, and you're getting reported. FFS go do your own art instead of stealing from a famous South Korean artist.

Still...dA isn't Photobucket. A lot of people have misconceptions over it.
If you want to ask that question, then ask the people who are doing the reporting. Also, fan clubs promote fanart i.e. actual drawing. And lastly, you can try reporting 1001 people then.
