The MWO tutorial doesnt cut it for me, Noesis doesn't find the files.

Noesis works fine for me...
Have you renamed the .cga files to .cgf?
If not, the files will not show up in Noesis for converting!
You can use a tools to rename all the files at once...doing it by hand is a bit tedious...
Look for "batch rename utility" or something like that, there are a handful of free tools out there...

The problem is that when I go to the games folders I can only find levels in pka format. Is there a previous thing to do or something?

Ahhh...ok...
You only really need theย "objects.pak" !
Extract the file with 7zip (I'm not sure but I think Winrar etc. would work too), and you'll get the mech files, besides all the other 3d assets (buildings, map deko etc.)...
ย !IMPORTANT! Copy all those files in a temporary folder! Don't touch the game files where you've installed it!
