I'm writing an ID! After 3 months on DA :OI like writing, a bunch. I've been 'writing' since I was 7, and wrote a couple 'chapter books' (in quotes) around then.
Tried my hand at fanfiction, PnF to be more specific! :D :D

Hey, I was just reading some of your stories, you're a pretty talented writer. Can you possibly write a story WITHOUT a happy ending though? It might be more interesting. Also I read your Deviant ID and it said the all ended happy... but variety would be cool. If not, no worries, you're still an excellent storytelllerpersonthing.

Sorry for the forever reply, I don't use my Sols06 account anymore. I made another account because I don't write for Phineas and Ferb anymore. I'm writing an original piece around my characters Ryan and Nathan, and I wanted another account so that people wouldn't think that Ryan and Nathan are rehashes of Phineas and Ferb. Cause they definitely aren't the same characters, hah.
My original work is somewhat darker than PnF, it touches on subjects like belongingness and the meaning of life, what makes a human being, and the impacts of suicidal thoughts on a family. But I say why can't a dark novel have a happy ending? Some of the core themes are what a family's love means, and how having a friend can pull you out of the darkest situations. Yes, it has a happy ending, but Ryan is a troubled soul throughout it, and he learns how important the love of a family is, and that's a message I think is important to the world, and something that I think can only be accomplished successfully with a happy ending.
Interesting that you would say try an unhappy ending, I've always thought about unhappy endings, but I always made my PnF stories end in a good way mostly because if they ended badly then that would become canon in my writing, and depending on the severity of the ending, I might not have been able to write any more stories with those same characters. Plus I'm a very nice and happy person and I think everyone in the world should be nice and happy people 
But no, you can't read my original darker story because I'm still writing it, and will never post it to DA because I want to see it published. But I hope that its dark enough for future readers, and that the happy ending portrays the tone that I'm going for and is believable. I appreciate the input, and though I do still like happy endings, my new story is definitely not sunshine and rainbows.

I guess I'm all for having dark novels with happy endings, but what about a happy novel with a dark ending or a dark novel with a dark ending? There's more than one variation, you know.Β But if you like happy endings better, that's your call, of course, don't listen to me. Anyway I hope your dark story really is dark like you say, because I'm so tired of people going, OMG I wrote this thing and it's SOOO durk and then it turns out not to be dark at all. I love dark things and I think darkness should not be taken lightly.
