Ah, nuuu! I promise to keep doing well ;w; He seems very popular, more than I realised. I like him a lot too, so I always want to respect his character.

It must be the british accent that makes him popular. Β XD

There is something to be said for the accent, I've found ^__^;; I actually live in the States, so it becomes a talking point very quickly.

Don't be discouraged, though! Everyone's voice has a purpose, and it only takes a few exercises to strengthen and deepen it. I need to get back on mine, because if I'm not careful it gets strained, and I really want it to be smoother. I would LOVE to have a voice quality like Ketih David's, albeit not as deep. But that richness takes a lot of work, and I get lazy -___-; But posh isn't bad either! You'd be surprised how many voice acting jobs you can get with that I recommend castingcall.club if you want to do more stuff. That's where I've been able to practice, get feedback, and be cast for a few things ^__^

Bravo!! I am about 50 pages from the end of the legacy paperback and I must say this is one of those rare books I donβt want to continue reading because it would end way to quickly! I have literally devoured this book over the last few days and CANβT wait for the sequels.
You mentioned on Writesaber that Fracture might come out in 2014, could we expect the kindle version by December?
I hope you reply soon and best regards from the States!

I just finished reading your novel at first. I was completed absorbed into it and had to find out what happened next no matter how many times I told myself to stop at this paragraph or this chapter. This is the first book I've read in a long time that's had every element of a story I enjoy (the last book being Eragon which was years and years ago). The characters are very unique and interesting, all which their personalities and the plot twists made me plow through, sadly quicker than I would have liked to, the story in order to find out what happens at the end. I look forward to seeing more to this series (should it continue).

I'm honoured, really. Thank you. It's a great comfort to me at the moment to know the story's reaching people at least this far. Things are a bit quiet at the moment for a number of reasons, not least because Legacy's currently an entrant in a debut novel competition so I don't feel I can do much to it just in case people get sniffy that it's already available as an ebook. But rest assured I'll keep it on the rise, and I'm working on the next three all the time.
Sorry for not replying to your past comments, by the way- the end of the year became rather uncompromising with my time, and I've only now returned to DeviantArt. I did want to mention though, I'm hardly Gandhi. I enjoy my swordfighting too much!

So many comments to respond to. First off I am glad I was a comfort. Honestly and truly. I'm sure its difficult for you-or any author really-to tread this new ground of publicity, so I'm glad I was at least of some service. Secondly, you need not worry about your non responses. I don't mind at all. This is deviantart after all. Thirdly, I still think you might like to look at my commentary, even if you are unable to change the novel. You always have the choice of adhering to my recommendations with future novels after all (not that I'm recommending you go along with my recommendations. That would require experience I do not poses).
And lastly, good luck with the competition! I've all the hope in the world for you!
P.S. You are Gandhi, and someday I'll prove it

Most welcome ^__^ I know what you mean, though. I've had slumps before and at the moment I'm trying to get my book together. Front cover artwork is done, but still need to finish photoshopping it, and then there's the website, twitter, distributing chapters through DeviantArt to drum up support, and getting it onto Kindle in the first place... WAAAH! It's really stressful trying to figure out what should come first but trying to get everything done at the same time instead @_@;;
I needs a holiday... even though I need to get everything done first . Gweh.

awww, sounds like you are working really hard! >.<
but you've done loads already! which is brilliant!
oohh who did the front cover art? i bet it's really pretty!
wellp, if there's anything that i can do to help, i'll gladly do it hugo ^^ hehe maybe we should get a table at Expo one year and you, vee and i should all sell our wares? hahah that'd be fun!! XD
hahah maybe you should plan a holliday? it'd give you something to really look forward too once you're done you could steal your lovely lady away and you both could go stay somewhere really pretty for a weekend or a week or something once your done, as like a stress reliver or something

SolarisPhoenix In reply to little-juju [2010-11-28 01:16:10 +0000 UTC]
Well... it feels like hard work sometimes, but there's still so much more to do and even writing e-mails can be a real slog when you're trying to drum up interest without being... troll-y. But yes, the cover work is fantastic ^____^ It's by ShadowUmbre on DeviantArt. It wouldn't have been the same without your concept art to build on, though, so thank you.
Certainly, I'll be sure to let you know ^__^ I'd love to have a table at the Expo some day with steampunk stuff and books, hee. The next one I'm writing is the first of the steampunk Phoenix the Blade novels, so that'll all add to the atmosphere, I should hope!
Well, technically we're on holiday at the moment in the States with Madison's family, but I'd love to take a trip somewhere alone and picturesque, maybe lurk around Warwick Castle for a bit ^__^ For now I'm still running around the internet trying to generate sales for Legacy, which is surprisingly hard at present ^__^; Ah well, it'll pick up. I'm not about to let is just slip away. Even so, a holiday after all that would be nice ^_^;
