The only reason it might seem like that is cause young noobs from those sites come here and treat it like imagebucket stealing picts or making it a attentionwhore fest.

Actually DA is like an art portfolio... it helps in getting jobs you see. Some people are after that factor too.
Besides, who won't get shocked to see someone with 50K UP pageviews in such a popular site and be amazed with artworks with 1k faves and up?
