I'm actually more of a writer but in the outside world my poetry seems to be more successful than my stories. I've entered a few competitions and I did poetry for a senior major work What about you?

I too write and do poetry. And my poetry proves to be more successful as well.... I've been writing poetry for 'round 4 years.. whilst writing itself I've only recently started like 5 months ago... tho I am an on and off writer I wish to be successful in both.

I'm glad you like my stories! To be honest I haven't uploaded anything new in... ages... ^^' I had my senior year of school and everything just went on hold. I really do want to upload something new when my writing decides to be of a decent standard again, which hopefully will be as soon as possible.

Lots of studies and a lot of unfinished art in the process, I have at least 10 pieces labeled as "work in progress" since I have hardly room to breath considering all the tests and homework. Oh the busy life a student lead.. but looking on the bright side, a few sacrifices for the grades I get is probably worth it in the end, I guess. Otherwise I think life is kind of grand at the moment, not minding the work and stress.. ^^'

I get what you mean, I did barely any writing when I had exams and that's what I like to do to relax :/ I think it's a mix of not stressing yourself out by taking too much time off and being careful to give yourself a break. I'm sure you'll be fine, but if you really, REALLY want to draw something, just do it. I found with writing it helped lift my spirits because I had a little time to do what I like.
But I'm happy to hear that you're doing okay!
I'm about to start university in a few weeks after a really long break @_@ So I'm trying to do some writing before then. I'm not used to getting so much time off so university should be interesting

I will definitely find a large-scale project again and NO I don't mind working on an artwork that takes months to complete BUT I'M JUST SAYING I AM NEVER STARTING SUCH A BIG CHRISTMAS PICTURE AT THE LAST MINUTE AGAIN

and I would say YES, YES I AM but I am only in a 100-level drawing class right now so XD I can't really say. I mean, I enjoy this class, but I will let you know once I get further along oDo staying up til 5 in the morning working on aforementioned christmas ornament drawing only to discover it wasn't due until next week maybe wasn't the highlight of the course so far buttttt what can you do? Aside from type 'butt' again. Butt.

Ahh okay XD I don't know how to motivate you then, I guess if you gave yourself from the start till the end of summer to work on a project that would be the best way to get it done and have a deadline. Ugh what am I even going to do with myself I have a four-month holiday and three months to actually start some projects and my book and Vanilla with Winter and play video games and convince myself that it's okay to watch anime and movies alone and BUH. Writing routine is paramount. I'm going to need it. WHAT DO YOU EVEN DO IN 3 MONTH HOLIDAYS AFTER GRADUATION?

Ah. XD I have no idea what a 100-level drawing class is but I'm going to guess it's like a basic foundation course. AND 5AM ASSIGNMENTS ARE GOOD YES I will never understand why it was Christmas ornaments.
