Yes, I did make the Lamiroir costume by myself.

What is your experience with sewing and cosplay? It's not a terribly difficult costume, but it requires some basic sewing knowledge and there are unfortunately a lot of steps.

The jewellery I made with fimo and resin. The gold on the fabric is a lot of bottles of fabric paint. The dress is actually a pretty easy concept--imagine a regular flat dress, but attach layers and layers of ruffles onto it.

I don't think I would choose the same material for the cloak--for some reason I picked up stretch velour, which doesn't work entirely well with fabric paint (it sinks in a little, and you can only paint in one direction).

The best tip I can give--like most anime characters, Lamiroir is not regular human scale; they gave her SEVEN tiers of her frilly dress. Wear high shoes to give yourself an extra height boost.

You are very talented I must say.
I know basics but I'm still not sure where to start.

I have a decent fabric I picked up that is a good color for her cloak.
Though, I've never made a cloak such as this before and find it rather odd.
I figured that's how the dress was, but I wasn't sure about fabric yet for it.

Ah I see that is very good to know!
I mean, I'm rather tall myself but it's good to know I might need to do that!

Sure! I'm planning on making a lot of other Ace Attorney costumes (Ini Miney, Shih-na, Rhoda Teneiro, Iris Hawthorne and possibly others) so eventually I'm sure we'll bump into each other! Next time, you can come to a convention in Montreal or Ottawa!

Lamiroir is a rather tough costume. I would definitely suggest some expertise with sewing and wigs before you attempt it. Altogether, it took me a few weeks to finish. Hope this doesn't come too late, though I fear it probably has. D:
