Shouko is a transfer student in the class of Ishida Shouya.Everyone is surprised seeing her talking through written words in her notebook and told them that she is deaf. Shouya thinks she is weird and uttered it loud surprising everyone. As the class progresses, everyone's treatement to Shouko is fine at first. But later on, most of the people around her are making efforts to help her making Shouya think she is slowing the class down.

It is when their teacher calls for her during recitation and it is stalling them because she needs to write her answer first since she cannot speak properly. The students around her had to write what the teacher says usually what to answer on their textbook. Usually, it is either Kawai or Ueno who are doing the job. Everyone starts to feel that she let them down after they lost to a choral competition. This starts Shouya's pranks because of her weird reaction towards people who act as if they care when they erased the insults about Shouko who actually the ones responsible for it.

After his bullying to Nishimiya, he became isolated with everyone and became quiet. Regretting all he did to Nishimiya, started to distrust everyone around him. As he observes every of his classmates, he always thought bad comments with the person they talk to. He sees everyone to be pretenders like Mashiba who he thinks brown hair doesn't suit him or Kawai calling her hypocrite. But above all, he hates himself of having bad thoughts with every people.
Meeting Nishimiya again after six years, he started to gain friends, laugh more and hang out with them. He obligates himself to give Nishimiya the happiness he once took and helps her find the old friends she once had. With these actions, he also struggles on moving on when he remembers himself being bullied.

Nishimiya likes taking a care of koi fishes, flowers.
She is cat lover, she gives full love for animals.
In one chapter, she said this to Ishida, that this makes her feel happy.
Nishimiya Shouko have crush for Ishida, who is now taking a care of her, and trying to making her happy. And also, he tries to makes his new friends to befriend with her and make her accept. In one chapter, she confessed her love for him. But sadly, he didn't understand her , and he thinks that she said " The moon is beautiful" instead of "I love you", which it made her a bit sad. But later, while talking with Nagatsuka - friend of Ishida. she learn that Ishida told to him , that Shouko is his best friend.

| エドワード・エルリック | - Very intelligent, helpful,kind, peaceful little friend, rarely act agressively infront of her( If there are some short jokes, of course he is) and trying to understand his friends and trying to make them feel better by helping to them. Shouko loves sometimes playing with him to make cheer up herself and maybe him, and also his wisedoom and his big heart for the helping to others in needs.
| ナツ・ドラグニル | - Another friend from the another world, he is very kind pink haired, totally relaxed, and kind to the friends ( expect Gray ). He is always funny, and making warm in heart by his friendly protection. Shouko admires him for the being so optimistic, very sure of himself and his great desires for the helping to the others.
| エドワード·ハサミムシ | - Her friend from London in Great Britain. Also very clever friend, he has got very similar personality for her friend - Edward Elric. But, by his big rich vocabulary, it makes him "looks" for more inteligent. But unluckily, he has also Ed's short temper , but more often when it's about his surname - Erwick , which it sounds like Earwig - the species of the tiny bugs. She adores his seriousness, his vocabulary, intelligence. She kinda likes when he is getting mad, his expressions on his face makes her always laugh and feels much better.
| アルフォンス·エルリック | - Her good friend, he also loves animals - especially furry ones called "kittens" or "cats". Both of them prefer peace, and don't like getting into embarrassment. They're both quiet, don't like solving problems by the violence and bad, inappropriate behavior. She likes in him his gentelmaness, which it's rarely to meet in these times.
| カク| - Very tall,matured, mystery, but friendly man. Very helpful and act like gentleman infront of her which it makes her blush, and feeling a bit shy. She loves his matured personality, his kindness, his "great formed" body. Even if he has got a "funny pointy" nose, she thinks, he is kinda sort of handsome man.

Shouko was pretty shocked after reading this message, she was blushing pretty red, then she decided to fastly answer on sms from her crush.
" B-But you was confused when you heard my voice, and you looked very troubled....I don't want you to make you feel ashamed while being with me talking like this. "

"How are you?" He asked, patting her shoulder a little. It had been a while since he had seen her, so he thought he'd just pay a little visit.

She blushed cherry red, and shocked a bit, then moaned a bit, then , she read his question from his lips and nods while having a smile on her face , she decided to try say back to him, but by her deafness, her speaking isn't perfect.

He gave her a chuckle back, crossing his arms over the front of his semi-sleeved shirt.
"Great!" Natsu replied, that soft grin on his lips. Her hair looked a bit longer than he remembered.

She blushed as well and looks away,and also chuckles shyly, then shows a notebook page.
Well, what are we going to do now?

He pointed towards the fields a little, "Did you want to walk?"

She smiles shyly and nodded slowly, she isn't used to taking a walk in such a new place. Then she wrote on notebook one word
"Sure!"

"The weather is awesome this time of year." He laughed a little, absentmindedly forgetting that she could not hear him. He also didn't know this area too well, so it was new to the two of them. Though the weather was nice, winter had approached after all.

She had difficult with understanding what he already said , she followed closely his lips, then nodded, she partially understand what he was saying , then she smiles weakly and nodded a bit, then looks at the sky and see snow falling on his nose, she looked at him and chuckled a bit

He took the notepad from her hands; since she seemed to carry it around everywhere. Glad to see it had a pencil with it; he scribbled on the page. Drawing it seemed.

Shouko blinked and looks closely at it , then blinked couple of times, then wait until drawing will be finished.

He smiled gently and held up the pad, a sketchy looking dragon it seemed. It was messy by far, but clearly it was a dragon.
"You like to draw?" He asked, wondering if she used the pad for such things other than writing.

Shouko nodded with a smile on face , but looking away blushing ,then grabbed the notebook and wrote a sentence
"I do , but i am too shy to show any of them to others "
She drew a fast sketch of herself and her new friend Natsu, then she finally gave notebook back to him with smiling face

He took the notebook back and glanced down at her drawing; she was much better than he; but he did not seem envious or anything of the kind. In face, a look of surprise and pride took on his features, his eyes lighting up.
"WOAH!! THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME!"

She jumped a bit when he screamed and was happy, then blushed pretty red and looked away, smiling softly because he said that's her art is awesome.

He gave her a warm smile, not noticing how he shocked her.
"Man, If I was that good I'd draw more often." He said, looking down at the paper; once again forgetting
and speaking.
He glanced up at her and raised a brow, "Can I take a page?"

Shouko blushed and looks away shyly, then tries nervously thinking if she should give him this page or not, but she sighed deeply, looked up at him and nodded. while having an weak smile on her face.

He gave her a much bigger smile back, and spoke a thank you; taking a blank page, not the drawing she had most likely assumed. He gave her the book back and fiddled with the paper; folding it as he stuck his tongue out slightly in concentration. Though it took a while, the paper finally became an object of something small and he placed it onto of the notebook she now held once again.
It was a little origami star that he didn't look all too impressed with, though he laughed slightly at his attempt. owo

The pink haired girl waved delicately, standing out in the rain. She wore a soft yellow jumper like dress, and only socks that were completely drenched.
"A-ano-" Her wave got a little more intense, "C-can you tell me what town this is!!" Little did she know, the pretty brown haired girl could not hear her.

'I live a little out of the city! I think I am lost!'

Reminding that he was before sayng "this bread is also good bread" , so before the answer from Ishida, she tears up a half of bread and put it in his mouth.

He was blushing slightly, not really sure what to think of the situation.
