The dubbed version of Shin Godzilla is just as bad as the dubbing of all films from 1984-present. However, it's still worth watching.

Since I'm new to this, any thoughts on the Sega Shin Gojira figure? Just got mine today (not bad for $42.)

It's not all that bad. I don't own one myself but, it is something worth having. I just recently got my very first SH monster arts figure and it just happened to be Shin Godzilla. I'm not much on monster arts. I'm an X-plus guy, but even now I'm getting lower and lower on cash.Β

Ouch. For all I know, thee probably was SHMA or the X-plus figure at the booth I got him. The vendor had quit the array of figures (even some of those mini dioramas your ever lucky to see probably.)
Just wish there was some posability. Stick the tail pieces on, and thats that.

I know we don't talk anymore, but I thought I'd let you know that my Dad lost his battle with cancer yesterday at 4:30 pm. He had been getting worse the last few months but the doctors thougjt he might survive another year or so. But last Friday he broke his arm trying to get out of his chair. The hospital couldn't set it correctly cos it needed surgery to set properly and his condition precluded that since anisthetics could've killed him. So the put a splint on it and gave him another medication. The pill made him erratic. His doctors decided to put him in a nursing home for a week so they could try to get him some rest(he wasn't sleeping well to start with but had been awake for almost a week straight at that point), try to work on his arm which was then very swollen and honestly black, and give my stepmom a break since she was awake almost as long as he had been... he was put in Tuesday evening. And he passed yesterday. At least he is at peace now. If you choose not to respond that is fine, I just thought I'd let you know.

Why would I not respond? Just because we've had our differences on Godzilla doesn't mean we can't talk to each other.
Damn though dude. I'm very sorry to hear about this. Like you said, he can rest in peace. He's lived a good life, and has always been there with you, and he'll continue to be there spiritually. I hope you and your family can recover from this.

I am glad you replied. And thank you for the condolences. We're doin as well as we can. Me and my gf have been here at my stepmoms since Wednsday, and I got next week off too. She has till Sunday off but they gave her next Tuesday till the following Monday. And my friends are coming here next saturday for a memorial party we decided as a group to do. And I am perfectly willing to forget the crap that happened between us man.

Good. Very glad to hear it. May interest you that I am (eventually) gonna do a Godzilla fancomic. I titled it Revenge Of Godzilla(didn't realize your story was The Revenge Of Godzilla till after I named mine π°) I am taking the few concepts I like from Shin G, and either taking a classic style route with them or tweaking them to be more grounded and using some of the ideas people had thought were gonna be in the film and making a more old school story outta it. But not gonna be messing with this project for the time being since this tragedy happened. Dunno when I will get back to it.

Lol, all good. You should read the first 5 chapters I have of "the revenge of godzilla" in my journals. There is some errors because of this damn auto correct, so heads up on that lol.
