Love the brushwork in your recent paintings. I wonder, is it just me or are the photographs a little on the darkish side? :) (Smile) Nevertheless, it's a great gallery.

Thank you very much. It would make sense. I have had issues with PDFs being too dark when sending posters in for art events for printing.

Two of the three paintings I submitted were accepted into the show but I have no clue whether or not I place or receive any other award until Thursday evening. I am traveling about 4 hours away and staying over for the reception :) (Smile)

Funny, your painting give the impression of being painted after nature, but I am pretty sure that the're painted after photographs. I wonder if I am really right, would you please let me know.

Sorry so long for a response. They are painted from source photos, but those which I have taken. I would love to work more "en plein air" at some point soon though, as my camera lens is shot!

Your very welcome, such beautiful work, it is always a treat to visit your page if I haven't been online. I'm doing well, fully stocked on supplies for once as a great store opened up across the river from me... now if only I could find an affordable place to get prints done!

One Called "River Scene" looks eerily similar to one of my source photos I have yet to use... now I must google more to find out what location inspired it...
