Hi, I'm Serikiyo! I'm 26 and I've completed 2 years of college, but unfortunately, I had to take medical leave due to Fibromyalgia and a brain tumor. I'm looking forward to going back, though! I was an American history major, but I think I'd like to either get certified as a polygraph examiner or get my BFA. We'll see! In the mean time, I'm dabbling with all sorts of mediums as I continue to try to find my own little place in the art world.# Comments

If I may ask, I was wondering about how your health condition is with regard to your illnesses.
Are you improving / remaining the same / or are they getting worse?
I ask these questions after having read your dA profile (I wasn't aware that you were battling them at the same time) and felt moved to inquire about how you are right now.
I shall include you in my prayers ...
I do hope that you shall recover in due time according to God's Divine plan for you.

I'm doing alright, just trying to take things one day at a time. The brain tumor is stable and now they're just monitoring it. They don't want to operate because of where it is, so I just check in once a year to make sure it's not growing or moving around. The fibro is my main problem right now, that's what keeping me from finishing college. Most days are the same, but then there's some good days and bad days, the pain and lack of energy fluctuates. Good news is that my new pain management doctor is fantastic and we're making some progress with pain relief! I'm feeling overall healthier and I've found a great group of supportive friends.
I know God wants me to get back to school eventually, so it's just a matter of time until I get better. Just gotta trust in Him that he'll work everything out in the end. Everything happens for a reason.
