Greetings, Count Monsparkle! It’s been quite a while since I heard anything from you over on DeviantArt. Congratulations on uploading the last synthesia of the Count of Monte Cristo by the way.

I have played a Hat in Time indeed and as a big fan of old school platformer games I was fairly impressed by how much nostalgia I felt while playing it. It is lighthearted, adorable and very fun, although I did have some minor troubles with some of the controls while playing. I liked the colorful locations and a couple of darker tones throughout the game, I liked most of the boss fights (except the very last boss because the location the battle took place made my eyes feel really bad), and I wasn’t bored for even a minute even after completing the main storyline.

However, I do feel the developers messed up the multiplayer mechanics and the “Seal the Deal” DLC. As much as I love hardcore gaming I don’t think a Hat in Time suits that genre very well.

Heya! Well I think not hearing that much from me is a sign of the Ink Potts-fandom slowing down as that's the main thing I'm focusing on on this account. As I'm not an artist myself, I'm pretty much only using DeviantArt to check out and comment on Ink Potts-related art. And thanks, I will really miss working on these videos. Though I'm planning on redoing some of them in higher quality. Anyways, how are you doing?

It's cool that you enjoyed the game. Personally I think this is my favorite indie game ever, but I'm hugely biased since I grew up with 3D-plattformers like Mario or Banjo-Kazooie, which this game is clearly paying homage to. It really feels like the creators cared for this game, and created it with a certain passion that is very rare in this modern gaming industry.

I can totally see what you mean with the first DLC pack though. The arctic cruise was pretty good, a level with a very unique setting but sub-par missions. And the Death Wish only appeales to a niche audience so I'm not sure why they focused so much of the DLC on it. Though I think the way they handled the hardcore difficulty was fairly creative for the most part, as I despise cheap difficulty like one-hit deaths or no checkpoints. The hardcore-versions of the bosses were definitively the highlight for me, I think these were handled well. But yeah, overall I agree that A Hat in Time was made for chill, laid back gaming, and Death Wish is pretty much the opposite of that.

I've always been a big fan of literature, and after seeing some of your short-story-comments under Stuflox's artworks I decided to check out for more of your work. I was simply blown away by your writing skills. If you ever plan on being a full time writer by any chance, I'm sure you'll be the one of the most successful writers ever known at out time.

But gee, I am really flattered by your kind words . I actually am working to become a full time writer. I just have to sort out the key details first. I don't know about being the one of the most successful writers ever, but I will certainly work hard to become well known.
