I love cooking, but I've never had any formal training... unless you count a home-ec class I had to take in sixth grade. Personally, I would say that I've had more training from my mother. At least she's taught me how to improvise and be creative when making dishes. I can only credit the home-ec class with teaching me how to make rice crispie treats.
