As a lizard owner I ADORE Yasha Lizard and can not wait to read more! But, I can not tell what kind of lizard he is? He looks a lot like a skink. Thank you for the comment. Utena is one of my favorite anime of all times. I even worked hard to make cosplays of her.

Yasha isn't any particular species of lizard. When I made him up, I originally thought of the Russian word for lizard, yashcheritsa, and I liked the way it alliterated.
