glad you're getting there, the renders look nice. the models are good, the materials are ok and the lighting is fair. to criticize them in detail i suggest to post it on a forum, not on a website like this one. im sure they can help along there although i suggest you trigger yourself to think of a more creative scene to do before asking for help. looking at a chess set is getting boring for most people on the net yer techniques and software knowledge are pretty good, use it to do some damage! have fun!

I know, chess are cliché of 3D world, but they are so easy to do and great for practicing modeling and lighting. And I still want to get caustics to work.

Haha, that's nice to hear. If I can help you out with something, I like the open-source way of thinking with Blender so let me know what you wanna do. If you wanna learn things about Blender, Indigo, modeling, lighting or whatever, I'd be more than happy to give you pointers or examples.

I'm currently learning the very, very basics of Blender. Just learned how to add colors (yay...). ^^
I hope to do a cell-shaded comic with it, so I still have a very long way to go.

I registered at BA, I just don't have much to show off yet.
Most of what I've seen there is intended for people who are already familiar with all the tools. ^^

There are also lots of tutorials there. But some real good starting tutorials are at this adress [link] at the Blender homepage. Some more specific tutorials are [link] that will help you with a nice start.
All blender work is welcome at ba, not only really finished works, just make sure to post it at the correct threat for correct help.

I'm currently using some book from Wikibooks... "Blender: from noob to pro", or something among that lines.

So far it's the most effective (but also slowest) tool I found. xD
